There's an easy, simple solution for that: Take better care of your goddamn phone. Don't put it in your back pocket. Don't put it in the same pocket with your keys. Don't handle it as if you're a five year-old with no self-restraint playing with a toy. This is why companies that make screen protectors and durable phone cases are successful, because of careless people like you.
It'll save you a few $$ and companies everywhere millions of $$$ in R&D if you just took better care of your devices.

It's becoming the same old with every new Pixel launch it comes along with buggy software, overpriced & outdated design, the only thing going for the Pixel is the Camera and even that only good with pictures the video side of it is average at best plus no 4K 60fps :/, & additional 100 for 128GB storage.

Pixel 4 is simply overpriced but rubbish (except cameras). Shame the build quality and mediocre features. For less you can get Op 7 Pro, S10, or iP 11 with better quality. Even many mid spec phones have good build quality (ex. A80). Marketing quality for Apple is actually better than Google's.

Pixel 4 deserves the worst phone of the year award. Literally the only saving grace of this phone are fast updates which is counteracted by Pixel's buggy software. Ask yourself if waiting an extra 2 months is really that big of a deal when you get a more stable experience and extra features. Maybe if each new Android version improved upon the previous one in a significant way but as things stands Android has been regressing since Oreo. Yeah there are some good new additions but there are also horrible changes. Before Oreo almost each new version was a clear improvement over the previous one, now we have stuff like Recents where only one card is visible, terrible gesture system and system getting more and more closed down. Soon Android will force Scoped Storage and at that point you might as well go iPhone.
They wanted to make an iPhone competitor and failed miserably. If you want to go Android go Samsung. Alternatively you can get a Xiaomi, OnePlus or other Chinese phones if you want good value and/or novelty features. Or if you want a phone similar to the iPhone just an actual iPhone. Apple, Samsung and Chinese OEMs are the only sensible choice right now.

The Nexus line was REVERED for it's price-to-performance value and had pretty great build quality (Nexus 6P was fragile and easy to bend though). You obviously have no idea what the Nexus line was about, so you must be some wannabe fake techie trolling the comments to seem edgey. You were probably in diapers when the Nexus line came out 😂

And more if you are doing something and fall on your phone. A surface can be rigid but it can be non-flat which greatly aggravates the pressure on certain points along the frame. So, a lot of undesirable situations can happen. For that reason are known as accidents.

Bottom line is that if 99% of 300 dollar midrangers can survive the bend test, then a 1000 dollars premium phone should too, and it didn't. Meanwhile all of its competition has. This is embarrassing.

Zoser, 07 Nov 2019The amount of pressure you need to apply is easily attainable if you accidentally sit on your ... moreyou cover a lot more of the phone when you sat on it. While Jerry videos the phones get the most pressure applied on where he's thumbs are placed on the middle of the phone and other pressure spots are top and bottom edge. If the phone is on solid surface and you sat on it then there wont be any bending. If the phone is on soft surface then it all depends on how you sat on it, but still your ar-se cover a lot more of the surface of the phone so the pressure wont be so much as when you try to bend the phone.
Explaining it will be a bit complicated for me.
