Agreed, android phone should always have sdcard support, else they're no different than iphone or wp7.

There are people that don't have extra space to carry additional gadget. I only bring 1 android phone whenever I go, even with 32gb sdcard it's still not enough. Sometimes I have to bring additional battery and sdcard when shooting a lot of videos.

I agree, not using sdcard can reduce issues/problem with slower system read/write. there also different path on internal/external memory (external_sd, sdcard2, etc) that gives headache to both app developer and user.
Still, I don't think that reason can justify decision to remove sdcard support.

Nice form factor, but Sony (Sony Ericsson) seem to have this fascination with LCD displays, which are practically useless outdoors or in direct sunlight.

I had the Xperia X1 and now the X2, I hope Sony brings out again a phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard - and with a SD slot! I would like to stay with Sony!!

King, 10 Mar 2012Hope Sony realized their mistake with U, P and S and put a Sd card in this phone...Not putting a memory card slot is not a mistake. It's a small revolution to keep the phone running fast and basically less technical problem due the slower card can't handle system read/write speed thus resulting some error (it really happened to some smartphones).
The mistake is they should make variety of storage size. 4GB is just insufficient for most people. 8GB version makes more sense nowadays. Cloud storage is total BS until mobile providers give us true unlimited internet connection.

I like Samsung phone specs, but Samsung design i can't stand. Personally i think Sony has best phone design.
