two of the most worst choices, if I am in china samsung is obviously my first choice the LG or sony.
huawei is spy device and apple is well not fit to be called phone.
the rest of the china brand is just plastic.

We ordered some crap (basic one and it was not cheep) for our company developed stuff and all was ultra cheep material and poor quallity made. This happened few times for different things. Stopped supply from china for good.

Moving factories will only work for few years. Once those few available countries reach certain level will not follow what USA want impose and join the club of China and others including India. Those will join together in the future, with conflict areas excluded and Western countries protecting their trade and the new tech ones together against western ones, prices will rise a lot and buy a good phone will be like buying a jewel in price but with a decreasing value very fast. The ages of buy flagships will end soon for the majority.
The goblal market will again be a chimera and the walls will raise again stronger than ever.

I think this is a great thing - Other stupid blogs like iPhoneArena thinking its to do with falling sales in China, but be smart and read between the lines and you'll soon see that all of this has to do with China flexing its manufacturing muscle in trade wars with the USA - and China made electronics seem to be targeted by the USA with higher import tariffs and Samsung seek to distance themselves from this impending train wreck.
Samsung recognise this as a threat to their business and promptly moving manufacturing to other countries where there is no trade issue. Kudos to Samsung for having that flexibility. They seriously know how to run a good business..

Jaeger, 03 Oct 2019China isn't the only country where you can manufacture phones at lower costs.It is if you want to be able to export it globally in a timely manner.
Labour cost is only a component of the overall cost and there's plenty of cheaper labor in places like India or Africa but it's Southern China's global supply network capability that keeps overall cost much lower than manufacturing in places like India or Africa.

The prices will raise as long as part of the components will still be manufactured in China and now, those must be exported to the assembly country. They already lowered the quality construction of the A series, but with equal prices, their next ones barely will achieve those prices again knowing how much profit Samsung want for its devices. Sure they'll be less competitive, at least in the mid-range and in the flagship killers range.
