6.4" display with 240 Hz refresh rate but 3130 mAh battery?
And I thought the Xiaomi Mi 9 had a quite small battery, this Sharp Aquos zero2 is worse, an even smaller battery but a 240 Hz refresh rate...
This doesn't look good on paper, unless Sharp is really good at optimizing battery life.

Buy what you fancy and could afford. If you can't afford Versace, don't buy it. If you don't fancy Versace, don't buy it. You are free to criticize their practices or model, but don't go whining and bickering about it. What buyers really need are competition and options.

But whats gonna run at 240 hz
        That's overkill
Pubg and the other barely run 60 fps on most phones
Needs a Much better processor then
        120hz is enough

man wake up. Brand new S9 by samsung had price of 999 euros and S9+ costed from 1099.
Just half year ago month before Xmas at Samsung store brand new S9 with 2 years of warranty had price of 449 and S9+ had price of 549 euros and Samsung still make a decent profit.
Please dont mistake profits of company with robbery.
Everybody knows companies like Samsung, Sony, Apple, LG, HTC etc greatly overpricing their devices.
In case of apple is a 5 times the manufacturing price. In case of Samsung is 3-4 times the manufacturing price. In case of Sony is 4 times the nmanufacturing price.
If xiaomi can make Pocophone for 200 euros and sell it for 300 and make a profit and have enough to spare to invent something great like Mi Mix Alpha then its awesome.
Samsung earns 5 times more and yet failed to present one astonishing device without anything to scold at a user friendly price.

Each company have its goals and prices. The good thing about free market is that you can choose from. Xiaomi loses money in mobile market, it bets on services, but outside China (where google exists), I don't know how their services will sell. Other brands only rely on hardware sales (apple and google is the exception because they have stores that make money). You buy from Samsung or Apple if you want...no one is forcing you. A t'shirt for example (i could say shoes or any other item) costs 1-10 euro to make...is sold at 5-140 euros if you put a brand on it....smartphones is a little bit different, because people like you cry when a brand tries to put its brand price on it on top of it's quality product, so a person knows it's a quality product with good service and brand value if anyone cares. but i bet you don't cry when you go shop a pair of sport shoes (put a brand here) that costs 5 euros to make..and you give 150 on a shop.

Impressive for sure, but also impractical & unnecessary.

It's like buying one of those 12GB RAM phones. It looks cool on specs, but goes underutilized all the time. That 240hz display will only make a visible difference during UI movements (dragging, scrolling, etc), and won't really benefit gaming (unless you want to play selective low-graphic games at high framerates).

Still, Sharp is an excellent brand and i admire their originality and dedication.

Their phones would be great if they came with better audio quality. Sound volume is usually very weak on their smartphones. Also they often come with too much bloatware like Facebook which can not be uninstalled

240Hz refresh rate screen is good idea, but Instead of trying to make the world's lightest 6-inch phone, they should have put a bigger battery in that thing.

CMMChris, 25 Sep 2019What about some research before posting nonsense? The 240Hz refresh rate applies to the touch... moreEdit: Actually I went to the sharp website and their translation says: "In addition to increasing the number of renderings to 120 times per second, twice that of our previous model * 3 , a black screen is inserted between each frame to reduce afterimages, and 240 times per second * 1 , which is four times faster than the previous model * 1 Display has been realized. Even fast-moving games are smoothly projected with reduced afterimages. In addition, the high-speed scan of 240 times per second has dramatically improved the touch panel response speed."

So they seem to mean both refresh rates are 240Hz... Though adding a black frame shouldn't count. *shrug* Marketing.
