But I didn't mention that Samsung has better OIS, I said it has a good OIS, that doesn't necessarily mean better. I specifically mentioned the Mi5 being better against the 6s Plus. That said. I'm talking about OIS not the camera it uses but how good the stability is. Since I have the S6edge and my hands can hold the phone steady. I don't have much trouble shooting in 1/4 - 1/16 most of the time in low light. So I don't experience as much blur as the pictures in that link. Also because it uses an F1.7 lens it takes better pictures than the 6s with the S6 using lower ISO and achieving brighter photos. Even the Pixel 3a with night sight is so much better than ANY iPhone at night. My friends have these phones mentioned and I can compare them and I can tell you the Pixel 3a is way better than the iPhone XS especially at night in terms of pictures. The new Note 10 against the latest iPhone XS Max. Note 10 has better stability especially with SteadyShot which uses EIS. Even the Pixel 3 with OIS + EIS in Manual mode can achieve amazing smooth night videos handheld https://youtu.be/ezb2jkRi188. On an iPhone you can achieve this but you might need a gimbal to compensate for the blur.
It seems you have been ignoring the Mi5 I've mentioned yet you want me to look at a link showing the S7. So I won't be wasting anymore time on someone who just doesn't accept facts. I'm ending the thread here.

What about the 5 axis OI... moreDo not argue with that guy based on only one link that doesn't even show a systematic type of test. There was lots of things wrong there for example, there's not a mention of OS version and no mention of settings used on each device. Samsung has better lowlight capabilities (as it has faster lens) and I'm sure that the stabilisation can be improved using improved camera API and firmware updates. It could have been improved by now.

Not the best, not the worst there are many phones with OIS the iPhone isn't exactly THE best (or Powerful) but it is very good.

We are talking smartphones here. Those photos usually gets sent to social media and you know they get compressed.

There photo looks good at small phone screen. But if you look a photo taken with Google Pixel 3/3a on a bigger monitor or bigger tv screen at 1:1(100%) ratio. You will see how noisy its photo. So, you should measure the picture quality of a photo after viewing that photo on a bigger screen not on a phone screen. Got ?

The old S6edge from Samsung has OIS that's really good. The Pixel lineup including the cheaper 3a has OIS that's really good. OIS is generally very good. There is no iPhone has better OIS its the same OIS. Unless ofcourse you provide sources. From what I know there is different amount of axis in OIS however. Like how the 6s Plus has 2 axis OIS and the Mi5 which has better stabilisation has 4 axis OIS.

But computational photography isn't for everyone. That's why I use my P30Pro only for casual shots and if I want natural and mature processing for pics that matter I crab my 808.
