I got caught by storm on few occassions and was completley wet, only reason my phone (S8) survived was the IP68. There was a friend with me who also got as wet as I was, and his phone had to spend hours in rice and it still ended up with malfunctioning speakers.
IP68 isn't a must, but it's nice to have it, and you at least have your mind at ease at some times.

SigmaR, 24 Aug 2019Right, notches or those freaking holes are way better You at least don't have to worry about motor malfunctioning, but if someone's willing to risk that to have a screen without a notch - that's fine, it's all matter of preference.
I don't mind having a hole punch-out, but I do mind not having IP68 water resistance, so my choice is obvious, and I'm aware that not everyone will make the same decision, but why not put a camera under the display?

Or answer an important pho... moreJust because you are someone that will willingly put your phone under such risks even though no warranty covers liquid damage, doesn't mean everyone is like that. I do use my phone in the shower but you don't need IP68 for it, you just need dry your hand before you pick it.
I guess it is subjective but I prefer full screen to IP68

Motorized camera makes it impossible to make your phone water resistant. And if that motor ever malfunctions - you have a big problem.

Motorized cameras make it impossible to make your phone water resistant meaning your phone could die just because you got caught by rain unprepared.
Then, there's also always a chance of that tiny motor failing, rendering your selfie camera unsable...

I hope this one will be much better than the first one. For example the P30 is so much better than the original Reno. Go for a search if you don't believe me.
