Palm should really consider releasing a successor to this phone with 600 or 700 series processor and at least 6GB RAM. Many of us need a compact but decently powered Android device.

That Unihertz Atom looks great at a first glance just saying.
On the other side is a brand which even GSM Arena doesnt know so in this case because of no information or no advertising or popularising of this phone and brand it will sells much less than Palm.
Just saying.
But ou have my attention and honor for proving me that even i can get sometimes wrong.

Feel free to show me simmilar such small or i... moreThe Unihertz Atom rugged phone destroys this Palm phone by having: up to 64gb rom, 4gb ram, mt p23 soc(comparable to sd625), 16mp/8mp cameras, 2000mah battery, nfc, usb c, radio, fp scanner, ip68, etc.; and it only costs $250. It has a lower screen resolution than the Palm, but it has a lower screen size, so it's not a really a strong advantage as pixel density is not really a problem for screens of this size(3inch +/-). There are many phones that exist with similar size to this Palm phone and someone mentioned a list of similary sized phones here in the comments, specs maybe weaker but price is substantially lower(that's great for a backup phone as noone believes that you would really use this Palm phone as your main and only device).
You're supposed to be familiar to the phones that exist if you're really a part of this niche, but I guess, you're not, because you really aren't,because(again) you would have owned the Palm phone otherwise.

Its just unbelievable they managed to crample all that features to such a small phone.
This reminds me of Sony Z5 compact which was also small but had awesome specs at that time.

I won't believe anything that you say about how $350 is a reasonable price for this phone, unless you own it.

... moreWhy compare past devices? I am telling that this phone required zero R&D cost (i don't think a group of thinkers/scientists was needed to make a 3.3-inch screen with an outdated OS).
The BOM to make this phone would be tiny because everything is tiny. They have saved up big time on the costs. But no savings is passed to the consumer. It is not like they have a stable ecosystem or great services to offer along with this phone.
BTW Z1 compact was a powerhouse for its time. Any phone picked from Z1 compact era will sound like a bad idea now.

I bought the phone 2 weeks ago.... I am SUPER happy! Best, most practical phone in years. I had iPhone and other ones but this I really like.

It has no headphone jack and that is a deal breaker. I would've probably bought it to get away from the gigantic sizes of today but no headphone jack, no dice.

It's kinda wasted. here my suggestion, how about a size like an iphone se, screen design like a note 10+ and a stock rom from Miui.
