Nothing special as it's only security updates. Major OS updates were much better but this report is better than nothing at all. Anyways, Nokia were still struggling even in developing countries, their phones were just overpriced, ie midrange or old specs for flagship price relative to competition.

hmm, 14 Aug 20192 major updates on android plus 3 years security updates. All is good on the security updates ... moreNokia 8 is one of the cheapest SD835 phone when it came out.. Nokia 9 pureview is one of the cheapest SD845 phone when it came out.. Nokia 7 plus was heralded as one of the best valued mid ranger.. What are u rambling about? Low end chips in entry level phones? Nokia knew that entry level phone require more toughness than a fast gaming chip.. Because phones are supposed to be built to last.. Hence the extended software support.. Also entry level phone users don't play AAA games.. Just regular idle clicker games which are fine on a low end chip.. Other apps such as social apps are no problem either.. So why trade durability for a slightly faster chip? If u don't agree with this principle it is okay just go buy your xiaomi low end gaming phone.. My brother is already with his third phone in 3 years due to low quality and durability of these chinese phones

Why Nokia is going behind in sales in India. They did a very good job in starting and now they just selling overpriced phones with older gen SoC. Waiting for IFA to see what's good in the bucket.

I am Nokia 6 2017 user i can confirm they have said we will get 2 years of Android updates in that they have never mentioned about the 3 years for your kind information but now its extended thats lucky to have Nokia phones and that was my right decision. I feel happy to tease my friend for having Android 8.1 on it Moto G5s Plus even with SD625 and my Nokia 6 2017 is with SD430 but its running with Android 9 with latest security patch what more i want now?

Stock is much-much better than MIUI in all terms. I appreciate Xiaomi for their hardware but software s*cks. I have used both..so sharing my two cents.

Whats with the Amazon branded Nokia 6? This is not a carrier limitation, then why is that not supported for one more year?
We bought a Amazon ad supported version of phone, not a different variant.

Hemedans, 14 Aug 2019Hmd promised 2 years support for Nokia 8, not 3 years. So this 1 extra year is just bonus. 2 major updates on android plus 3 years security updates. All is good on the security updates part. But still for me nothing is justifying Nokia price to get stock android. Low hardware with crazy over price priced phones. Nokia/HMd dont show any signs they will get better. With there old design and old hardware and well updates are sketchy too.

Well what ever i lost all interest on Nokia while i have had most of my phones only Nokia's.
I rather get MIUI or what ever skin phones that have proven to get 3-4 years of security updates too. Some even 2 major android updates while not even Android One on them.

Nokia can be happy how long they can sell there nostalgia and live from old fat.

Also if you don't have enough good phones to offer and they arrive late, below competitors products and overpriced, at least update them so your more loyal fans, if you still have some, are happy. That can be the case of HMD.

The new versions of Android with the new file system are a lot easily to update too. So sure that it has contributed to this as well.
