I always thought Galaxy J was stepping into mid-range territory last year with the J7 Duo, J7 Pro, J7 Prime 2 and J7 Max, each of which were quite competitive w.r.t. some A series phones. I had wanted to see what a J9 would look like, and it appears we'll see what Samsung does with a top-range budget smartphone. One thing's for sure, the offerings from 8xx onwards on any Samsung series get interesting in terms of features and build.

Samsung software was always the deal breaker. It works well in the first 6 months. Then, all things start to slow down. Samsung just want you to keep changing new phones.
My Oppo and Asus have no such issues after 3 to 5 years, and they were just mid range.

Wasn't the M series supposed to be for Millennials? You know, the people who can't afford something expensive and demands to get it lowered coz they're naturally entitled? All I'm saying is wasn't M series supposed to be cheap?

No big batteries, no tech - chips in mid range cat... moreYour statement might be right but this year's A series have a relatively big battery, starting at 3400 mAh (A10), to 3700 mAh (A80), 4000 mAh (A20, A30, A50), to 4500 mAh (A70) with A40 being the exception (3100 mAh).

Samsung has problem with their smartphones. No big batteries, no tech - chips in mid range category, and no iosm image stabilizer and good prize and with all that minus the company excpecting to make sales? haahahahahah.... Nice joke.
