Just... moreI will buy decent android phone instead of iPhone as I'm not heavy user just browsing internet and YouTube. Calling and Texting. And some music. A decent android phone will do all of them. Just don't go for very cheap ones as they will lag and they will work annoyingly slow.

Other Xiaomi phones like the K20 (9T) and K20 Pro doesn't have a microSD card slot and the 9 SE lacks both, but it doesn't matter because Xiaomi can do no wrong and will always get a pass simply because of the cost of their phones.

Just... moreYou sound exactly like my Indian wife lol she uses a Redmi Note 7 Pro but before that she used an old, busted-ass Micromax phone for many years. Now she desperately wants an iPhone and a MacBook too SMDH! Why can't she choose an Android flagship and a better specced Windows 10 laptop instead lol. I guess she cares too much about brand status, or maybe it's because Apple products are rarely seen in public over there or because rich, influential people are constantly seen using Apple devices.

In this case is not Sony nor Samsung.
You buy sensor, then the lenses, the OIS and pay someone to make it all together.
Probably they thought with Quadbayer and larger size it could do well without need of slower shutter like 1/4s .

In my country Redmi 7 has same price of Moto G7.
Redmi 7 does not even have usb c. Also comes with HD screen.
Price of Mi9 is higher than any device ever sold by Sony, Asus, LG or Motorola.
Mi9 = mono audio, no IP rating, no 4K HDR recording, poor audio quality during recording, no sd slot, 1080p screen

Xiaomi usually prioritizes SoC for their flagship, their cameras were mostly stock configurations from whichever manufacturers they sourced it.
