Avi, 22 Jul 2019Well, Nubia's screen is "only" 90hz vs 120hz of the ROG and its battary is 5000ma/h vs the ROG... moreMan there are barelly some 60Hz games so 90 is more than enough.
And the 5000 or 5800 mAh you know how it sounds???
S10+ 5G have 4500 and XS Max have 3100 mAh but the endurance is likely the same.
So this 800 mAh difference wont break a hole into the earth.
AnonD-731363, 20 Jul 2019Nubia red magic will does the same for 70% off. Well, Nubia's screen is "only" 90hz vs 120hz of the ROG and its battary is 5000ma/h vs the ROG's 5800
is this worth a price bump? to every man his own...
Shui8, 19 Jul 2019Wow that battery. True definition of 'gaming phone'.Need to be optimized through software in my opinion but best phone yet for gaming for sure
Nubia red magic will does the same for 70% off.
Uglier than the ugliest black shark
Nubia red magic still the best looking gaming phone
Blutbad-fuchsbau, 20 Jul 2019I disagree. We need 21:9 screens because that's the definition of true ultrawide. Hopefully, i... moreLook I think it makes more sense to go with 21:9 than either 20:9 or 18:9. But 16:9 is still the better aspect ratio because it is the de facto standard.
Besides, a 16:9 phone is more compact than a 21:9 phone. And when it comes to games, there's plenty that don't support 21:9. And there's a large majority that "half-support" it, they do so by decreasing the FoV and Zooming in which gives you a competitive disadvantage. Usually on PC Gaming they want to use 21:9 so they don't need to Dual-Screen and because when properly aligned the peripheral vision (higher FoV) gives you a split-second extra reaction space.

Kangal, 19 Jul 2019You guys didn't believe me, but I told you they've gone up from a 18:9 aspect ratio to a 20:9 ... moreI disagree. We need 21:9 screens because that's the definition of true ultrawide. Hopefully, in 2 years, all phones would be sporting that display. Netflix also has 21:9 films, so that's the correct display size. Ignore the black bars when watching a 16:9 film/tv show. Most games for PC support ultrawide 21:9, and it would be easier to port them for Android(Mostly rewriting).
I really hope it has T Mobile US bands, a Qualcomm x55 modem, and an IPX rating. those features would make it a must-have for me.
IpsDisplay, 19 Jul 2019I always laughed at flashing battery sizes and Asus are the only one that gives great size bat... moreu ar right bro with insane specs just lyk the ASUS ROG 1 which was using an overclocked soc snap drag 845
I always laughed at flashing battery sizes and Asus are the only one that gives great size batteries to flagships
Let's first see:
- the prices
- world availability
- micro sd card slot
- software optimisation for the battery
- camera performance: 4k/8k video recording, wide lens and zoom lens
-3.5 Jack
These specs are looking good. Just waiting for that expandable storage and pricing.
That battery...HTC, Razer, and OnePlus should be taking notes.

You guys didn't believe me, but I told you they've gone up from a 18:9 aspect ratio to a 20:9 one instead. What they actually should've done is to go down to 16:9 instead, to make the phone more compact and useable.
Regardless, if the dimensions really are 171 x 78 x 9.8 mm, then it's a very big phone. Contrast this with the much more compact ZTE Axon7, Google Pixel 3XL, Razer Phone 2, and the original ASUS RoG Phone. So just like the Nubia RedMagic 3, this should be too big for most people (myself included).
I think my large limits are:
(166 x 77 x 9.9mm dimensions)
~5.0 inch 13:9 or Root2 or IMAX
~5.8 inch 16:9
~6.3 inch 18:9
~6.8 inch 20:9
~7.1 inch 21:9
...but I much prefer the size of:
(154 x 74 x 7.9mm dimensions)
~4.7 inch 13:9 or Root2 or IMAX
~5.5 inch 16:9
~6.0 inch 18:9
~6.5 inch 20:9
~6.8 inch 21:9
....this hits the sweet spot of big screen and small body.
PS: Fellow readers, what is your preferred phone dimensions/size ??

I hope with all that bulk, it keeps the headphone jack. That will be my phone for two years if it's quickly available in the Philippines before the Zenfone 6 arrives.
