iTunes is 18+ years old!!! it was a digital library where people would actually buy their music instead of using the limewire or torrents.
No spotify and Apple Music allow artists to be heard! They don't have to release whole albums. Just one song and they can earn a lot of money. Otherwise they wouldn't use the platforms. They get a proportion of how many times their songs are played.
How is illegally downloading music better?

How does this affects transfering of stuff to iPhone under Windows? Still have to use existing/old iTunes or what? I'm not gonna buy a Mac just to copy a ringtone of my own to an iPhone...

Normally I'd complain about this, but I use iTunes almost once a week to sync songs from my PC to my iPhone. So I'm glad iTunes will remain unchanged in Windows.
