If anyone is interested in mobile videography, then your best option is the LG V series phones. They have excellent footage with plenty of detail & little noise, extensive manual controls & exquisite color filters sure to satisfy you. Stabilization is also top notch. Speaking from experience.
XZP LUL, 30 May 2019when it is 16:9 so many hates on that ratio, so xz2 went on to 18:9, again ppl say it is impra... moreDont waste your time answering the haters .....
They wanted Sony to use 19:9 with notch or hole. So the phone would have part of the scene gone while recording 21:9 videos.
Be sure that other brands will offer 21:9 videos this year.
Mike, 30 May 2019That smells like someone turned off stabilization on purpose. That or carrying the phone on a ... moreyou dont need to smell it if u know chinese/mandarin. the woman in the video was saying both in 1080p and both stabilization were on and most likely both are in 30fps too. sony 60fps might not support 5 axis stabilization, have to find out later.
judging it is in taiwan and they get the first batch of sony phones, the video looks legit
Mike, 30 May 2019Ooohhh, they are trying to apply "conventional" chinese practices. Interesting.
Waiting for... moreUhmm, I want to understand one thing.
There's pretty much nobody who bashed Samsung when they first introduced a 18:9 display smartphone with the Galaxy S8, but why is there a lot of hate when Sony came out with a 21:9 smartphone, when in fact it's actually a more proper ratio, as there are actually a lot of proper contents made in that specific ratio?
Mike, 30 May 2019Ooohhh, they are trying to apply "conventional" chinese practices. Interesting.
Waiting for... morewhen it is 16:9 so many hates on that ratio, so xz2 went on to 18:9, again ppl say it is impractical then bam now they are 21:9, which is first other than the motorola phone. but still getting so much hate. can you make up your mind which aspect ratio you want ? you can choose from 16:9 18:9 up till 21:9. if you dislike the tall ratio you can always go to xz3 which is still 18:9.
sony fans are still fond with 16:9 but 21:9 opens up so much possibilities which they might try to adapt to that. your favorite phone might jump on to 21:9 for next year so are you going to say the same thing to your favorite brand ?
Mike, 30 May 2019Ooohhh, they are trying to apply "conventional" chinese practices. Interesting.
Waiting for... moreDid you know the Sony created the ratios 16:9 and 21:9?
That movies are shot 2,35:1 ?
That there are Ultra Wide monitors to use with gaming PCs ?
Mike, 30 May 2019That smells like someone turned off stabilization on purpose. That or carrying the phone on a ... moreNope.
Let's assume you are right that the EIS was turned off. The Galaxy S10 has OIS, so its footage must look extremely shaky but NO jitter-ness or blurring as the person tries to run. Well, it does, and it's caused by no other than the EIS, so at that point, it already proved you wrong, but also only shows that Sony's advertising is very close to reality.
Any flagship can now do good stabilization in daylight.
The problem of jitter-ness and blur begins as soon as the lights go down, but the Xperia 1 handles those situations very well, almost like a true professional camcorder.
Sony's Optical SteadyShot is still ahead of the competition, and Samsung just got Sony's older SteadyShot (non-Optical) technology - something the Xperia Z from 2013 already had back then.
The third video in this article is Xperia 1 vs XZ3

Do not cry no one can compete in video and stability with sony

Mike, 30 May 2019Ooohhh, they are trying to apply "conventional" chinese practices. Interesting. Waiting for... moreIf you noticed, every manufacturer makes wider and wider phones every year. Sony did the right ratio first, because other ratios are not standard and aren't used worldwide
[deleted post]That smells like someone turned off stabilization on purpose. That or carrying the phone on a free hinge. Not seems real compared with the hundreds of S10 and S10+ other video examples on youtube. A clear clickbait with the success of 3 subscribers, probably all Sony fans.
Ooohhh, they are trying to apply "conventional" chinese practices. Interesting.
Waiting for the 27:9 Xperia 2 and the 32:9 Super Wide Premium. Now that they seems to have now a 72mm standard tall, their next improved flagships will probably be curved and wider. Perfect to wear on your belt.
No one has the level of expertise the Japanese have. Best technology there is. Pure and simple.
Nokia 9 pureviev with SD855 which will come later this year will preform a lot better.
Even the Nokia 9 purewiev with SD845 is maybe better.
