Anonymous, 30 May 2019So in other words you want Sony's phones to look the same as everyone else's? Gotcha. Gotta lo... moreTrue.. I am an indian and have to admit that Japan products are the best..same for mobile i have used asus, huawei brand after sony because i find their specs with better price but what i miss is sony durability. My z3 is still with me while i have 5 others brand lasting for only 6-7 months. And i have decided to go for sony again but if this one won't be release in india then I'll buy the xz2..
You know why I support many Japanese companies like Sony, Sharp, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Toyota, etc.?
Because their country offered our country Philippines, a lot of job opportunities that our president recently signed.
We'd rather have our country be conquered by Japan than by China, which btw is destroying our country's nature.
https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2019/01/10/1883909/philippines-urged-monitor-chinas-coral-reef-rehab-spratlys
Also, they sold us a machine that's going to help dig the underground to build a subway, which is a VERY FIRST TIME for our country! Now transportation is going to get easier and better for us Filipinos, thanks to mostly our president and the kind officials of Japan.
The major reason why we commonly bash China is because of their bad habits that are destroying the environment.
Don't get me wrong, we certainly have no hard feelings against Chinese people, but they really need to act more disciplined. They don't see the bad effects of what they're doing to nature, and I would seriously owe the destruction to our coral reefs to Chinese fishermen for the most part.
this fake fanaticism is sickening. the fact that sony mobile had to withdraw in most of its market and had to be absorbed by sony's general electronics department because of year on year losses means your fanaticism failed; sony mobile FAILED because of you. no other word about that. you can continue to defend sony mobile but as long as you are not doing anything like actually buying their devices and influencing people aggressively, you are fake fans.

How lovely would it be to use an OS full of ads. LOL.

And it's even more laughable that previous Xperias with no OIS are barely worse than phones with OiS on their main cameras.
Now Sony's Optical SteadyShot just blows all other phones with hybrid OIS+EIS in low light. Funny ain't it?

AnonD-731363, 30 May 2019Nokia 9 pureviev with SD855 which will come later this year will preform a lot better. Even ... moreYep, it is going to be better in all aspects, despite i don't know how it is going to be but just want to bash Sony anyway.
IFA phone will be 6" Full HD.
All cameras will be exmor.
But sadly still 12+12+12
I want 66MP 1/1.5" RGB + Monochrome
This is a great looking phone. It's a flagship worthy phone. Some might not like it but its all about preferences, it's a waste of time to discuss 4mm notches and how you don't like it, some just like it other don't, it's as simple as that. Preferences in taste have nothing to do with innovation. I have to say that in innovation of technology the Chinese have taken the lead or will soon take the lead. The time of the Japanese seem to be at an end, but it can still turn in favor of the Japanese.
NipponFan, 30 May 2019This should be on billboards and tvs not on YouTube where nobody sees itAgree.
Now they finally make great phone.
But sadly they still haven't done proper marketing.
Too bad.. if they continue like this they will definitely Fail again in 2019

IP rating, OIS, Qi Charging, tool to remove sim tray, telephoto , desktop mode, iris scanner, stereo speakers, HDR stacking, ultra wide angle, glass body, headphone jack beside usb, speaker grill has same design of iphone speaker, tablets S have 4:3 screen, stacked sensor, 960fps...
Success of Samsung is because in third world countries people buy majority cheap phones. J series has always been responsible for Samsung high marketshare.
S and Note dont count for 17% of their sales.
At least Sony Xperia have stuff from other Sony divisions .... Samsung does not do anything like that.
Samsung has always been inspired by Apple. Where do you think the physical home button came from?
More funny than that is when xiaomi fan bashes Sony. They still think Xiaomi created the design of Mi Mix ..... Still dont know Sharp did that in 2014, two years before Xiaomi.

Sony isnt one of the companies who will do just anything to make their phone look futuristic while increase the chance of getting the display broken from a fall. Are you a troll, a hater or with low IQ?
and among Bluetooth headphones sony 1000MX3 is the best now, even better than QC35II. yeah there are other expensive brands which cost much more but barely sounds better than 1000MX3. Japanese companies make less innovation now a days; its true but what they do are completely solid. not just some funky gimmicks that the Chinese provide us.
I like this phone design, is like a Note9 but 21:9
AnonD-762416, 30 May 2019That's great and all, but all I read is desperate defence of a brand not able to compete with ... moreCompete in WHAT? 4mm of difference in BEZELS? Are you kidding me? After all this amazing technology, from screen to cameras, that Sony has managed to cram in the Xperia 1, you STILL complain about BEZELS? If slim bezels are considered innovation, then technology is doomed. And you're the lowest of trolls.

Look at the new Meizu announced today, it looks much better than S10.
The dual selfie of s10+ has almost the size of a tylenol.
I dare you to use OP7 Pro, S10+ or Find X without touching the screen with sides of your hand.
Read this: Apple screen engineer explain why tiny bezels are bad to screen
" That's a tough question. It has a lot to do with reliability concerns.. a thinner chin means the bend is closer to the frame, thus increasing the likelihood of a vertical line failure. Newer iPhones are extremely susceptible to the kind of failure that you see in this thread.
The thick chins you see on many phones has a lot to do with the values and goals of the company producing the phone. For example, Apple values the aesthetic, and is willing to sacrifice some drop reliability for it. Other companies may want to use that space for bigger chin speakers, or some other component."
