well at least we have both charging options available on nearly all flagship phones today
What about xiaomi mi 9's 20w wireless charging

The first time you get a broken usb connector you´ll understand the benefits of charging something without plugging anything in.
Slow wireless charging pads are inexpensive today (even freebies) and you can have one at home, another one at work and I even have one in my car (factory mounted) so I can have my phone charging effortlessly almost wherever I am.
You may use it or not but having the option is always a nice thing.

Remember the exploding iPhone while charging?
Safety first, don't use your phone while charging.
Wireless charging wants you to be safe, not exploding on your hand.

Anyway, it's an iffy distinction as these have their own CEOs, goals, marketing, etc. E.g. are Ray-ban and Oakley separate companies or brands? They are both owned by Luxottica.
Anyway, perhaps a better example would have been Samsung and Motorola, which were selling rebranded Quick Charge, but my point was that there's a split between the "industry standard" USB-PD camp (including QC4.0+ phones) and the holdouts Huawei and BBK.

Wireless but in the end I can't use it when charging.
Wired but I can hold, can lie on bed, and turn around when the condition is right.
So, IMO, wireless charging as the current status is just a gimmick that phone makers try to push to increase their phone's price. It has absolutely no practical purposes here.
do you agree that fast charging lowers your battery's longevity?
LG G3 and Galaxy S4 with Wired Charging.
The only convenience of wireless charging is not having to attach a cable, but you still have to put the phone at a fixed location. To me, I'd rather attach it to a cable so that I can use it in my hands while charging.

It's actually pretty fast
Mi 9 has 20w wireless charging so just because you don't want it doesn't make it useless
And this is surprising how? 'Wireless' charging in its current incarnation is pointless and inefficient.

wireless charging is garbage anyway because of its inferior efficiency. we are wasting so much power and material to build the charging pad and after all it still require a freaking wire to power up the pad.
unless my phone can wirelessly charged using sunlight, i am not impressed with wireless charging on smartphone
