Shanti Dope, 21 Apr 2019That single super core will be mostly on par with that on the SD855, but the sustained perform... moreSingle core Sustainable performance will be higher instead because 1 core produce less heat than 3 core aka less throttling.
Syn, 21 Apr 2019By the time this chip comes out in a device, SD 865 wld already be in the market.True, but this setup of the QSD 735 looks to be as fast as the ex-flagship QSD 835 SoC.
I mean it took the QSD 710 to surpass the ex-flagship QSD 821. Whilst the QSD 675 was able to match the ex-flagship QSD 820.
Yet it took the QSD 636 to match the ex-flagship QSD 810.
Where the QSD 632 did match the ex-flagship QSD 805.
And the processors of QSD 630 and QSD 439 did eventually match the ex-flagship QSD 801 and QSD 800 respectively.
It gets more iffy here as the likes of QSD 429 or the QSD 616 were the chipsets to eventually surpass/match the very old ex-flagship QSD 600. Where the QSD 615 or the QSD 610 or the QSD 427 are among the ranks of the ex-flagship QSD S4-Quad-Pro. Whilst we're looking around the QSD 425 or QSD 412 to see the ranks of the QSD S4-Play. And probably the QSD 410 or QSD 400 to be around the level of the initial ex-flagship QSD S4-Dual Krait. And I don't think we need to look further down history.
Its like Lumia 735 and Lumia 740 phone hehehe
dude111, 21 Apr 2019A higher single core than their current top dog? Yeah i highly doubt that.By the time this chip comes out in a device, SD 865 wld already be in the market.
SD735 might be the 5G chip, but phones with the newest chip (especially mid-to-high) usually come about after 1.5 years that chip announce. Usually...
Next year? Nah, wait for 2021 instead
dude111, 21 Apr 2019A higher single core than their current top dog?
Yeah i highly doubt that. That single super core will be mostly on par with that on the SD855, but the sustained performance cores will be inferior because it's only a single core against tri-core on the SD855.
The main advantage of this SoC, in theory, is that it will be more efficient than the SD855 because of less powerful cores.
What's the point of this? We all know OEMs will still be using SD425/430/450 and SD660 anyway. Only a handful of phones, maybe, most which will be overpriced, that use this 7xx chips.
I want a SD735g version with binned chips for gaming of course!
Maybe Kryo 470 Gold Prime (A76) + Kryo 470 Gold (A76) + Kryo 470 Silver (A55). Like SD855
DHJesus, 20 Apr 2019But Snapdragon 855 is 1+3+4 not 2+2+4I think they got confused with the 9820 Exynos
But Snapdragon 855 is 1+3+4 not 2+2+4
Sub 6GHz millimetre wave .. so yes it's a 5G supported processor
