Do you want a good phone or ... morefor ease, convenience and portability. i would prefer to have both in one tbh. maybe for solid photographers, choosing a full camera is no contest but for majority of consumers who are not in photography, but still want excellent images coming out from their phones, its another story.

Night scenes with proper lighting, Huawei phones Night mode are not better than other brand, even Mi9 taking such lighting picture are better than P30 pro.

Geez, why are people so hung up on camera performance these days? Do you want a good phone or just a terrific camera? Cause if its the latter, you should buy a mirror-less camera which you can carry in your pocket, any 500$ mirror-less cam would blow Pixel/Huawei out of the water, I believe.

Why it took Samsung so long? LOL some journalists simply have no idea how complicated it is to produce a good night mode algorithm like Gcam. The source code doesn't fall from the sky.

Right now, in low light, even with Bright Night turned on my S10 simply cannot compete with P30 in auto mode, but let's see if this update will make any difference.

P30 Pro hardware? Its on another different level. No matter what, Bright Night or Night Sight cant even comes close to P30 just by using Auto. On Night Mode its a different story.

As far as I know Samsung has had a dedicated night mode for awhile now. I've seen it in some of their entry level tablets about a year and a half ago so they probably just had to rework it for the S10 lineup
