Anonymous, 11 Apr 2019sharp is now owned by foxconn. it's not jap anymore, jap has sold it to foxconn.Eh, they did sell themselves to Foxconn but isn't the product R&D still Japanese? With the exception of those European-market Sharp Aquos smartphones.

Anna, 11 Apr 2019With so much delay in this fast moving technology environment, it will be DEAD even before launch. Try telling this to fashion addicted people..
There's a large niche of people that buy phones only for the design. This phone will sell like hot cakes!

The only reason to make foldable phones is to shorten the lifespan, causing people to upgrade sooner. There's no real benefit to having a foldable phone and folding your phone constantly will cause the plastic to wear down much faster than a traditional phone smh

The foldable display is just another thing which is far from useful. The phone size display that can translate into bigger screen for consuming Media or reading books can be useful, but the cost of adopting one device for two functionalities is very high at initial phases. So these techs are not for masses until the tech turns affordable.

Pabliell, 11 Apr 2019Small screen folding phones are simply stupid. Sacrificing battery just for the sake of folding. Design of a regular phone that can fold. Just useless. The only reason I would like to have a foldable device is to use more screen estate when needed. This one is not even practical unfolded.

Soon we will have 30:9 ratio phones. or 50:9 ratio phones the size of Note 9 when folded.
