hi. i am not so sure about the issues people have been reporting about the pocophone f1. i have had it for almost 3 months now and i have never experienced any kind of issue. i also have bought the razer phone 2 almost 2 months ago but still i prefer using the poco f1 as my daily driver. the only issue i have had so far was something that appears to be some sort of ghosting or burn in on the screen of the keyboard, and it happened only twice and each occassion lasted only for about 30 minutes. i found it had to do with gboard (i am a beta tester) and has since been fixed with a recent update to the app. on the other hand my only experience with one plus has been with the 1- their first handset, and i can equate the experience with f1 to the op1 back then. people are complaining f1 is not rightfully a flagship killer because of the corners cut, largely with its hardware and aesthetics, but i can totally recall the same being said to the op1 then. if you have read my name in this community before, you probably know that i am no stranger to flagships at all, so i know what i am talking about. f1 has flagship soc and few more that is comparable to 2018 flagships, so it is rightfully a flagship.
I have been using the Poco F1 from last 8/9 months. Everything is working perfect, no complain about the performance! Even the camera provides good photos ( Better than oneplus 6). Sometimes touchscreen does not give proper responses. Waiting for Poco F2.
I have poco f1 too, i bought on the first day
But for poco f2, i will wait first, because the touch screen is so BAD ghost touch happen, they update the rom every week since August till now March, that’s 7 months and their software team still can’t fix, stupid software team, lowest quality touch screen
GalaxyUser, 29 Mar 2019You must have never used Flagship. So you cannot understand the feel of being flagship. Not on... moreI've used s3/s4/s5/alpha/s6/s7/s10e/note 2/note 3/note 5.
So no, I've never used a flagship. Samsung went to the worse after s5 and note 3. More bloatware, less smart unique features. Slower updates. Lower support. More fragile built with what everyone knows from Apple cracks. Higher resolution and bigger screen, without battery to back it up. Vr, that can only be used for 3-4 hours and then you are forced to recharge the phone. Plugging the charger in the vr glasses, still doesn't charge fast enough to keep the vr going. S7/s8/note 7 catches on fire by randomness. S10e finally got flat screen again, but have problems with registering touch on the back of the phone. (can be fixed by using cover), but should never have been a problem.
Zendroid, 29 Mar 2019So do tell us. How much of the more expensive features do you use? Ip68 says it self. But what... moreYou must have never used Flagship. So you cannot understand the feel of being flagship. Not only IP68, the headphone jack output of flagship are better, also better camera, Dynamic/Super AMOLED display, Better UI(user choice), better Customer Care Network. Complete accessories in the box.
If everything is best so you have to more.
Now the main point is AFFORDIBILTY.
If you can then buy it. If you cannot don't criticise it.
I have clearly written that Poco F1 is just for speed nothing else. Something also beyond speed.
I don't bet for 10 Dollar because I am Samsung User not salesperson.
sm4rt4ss, 28 Mar 2019You know would be fun? If Xiaomi released two Poco F2 models. Poco F2 with 6.2 - 6.5" screen a... moreTrue that. And retain the biggest possible battery. Even 5.4 to 5.8 if the width is about 68mm would be great. Tired of 6+ inch phones.
BrendonF, 29 Mar 2019You made a lot of factual errors in your post which I feel should be addressed. The most gl... moreYou are actually wrong on the camera part. The poco does it better than op6. I went from op6 to f1, and I clearly see huge difference on the picture quality. It was a huge boost from op6. The s10e does it better than both though. Huawei was ruined by the ai.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2019There isn't a huge difference between 6T and S9 price to begin with. Obviously I would choose ... moreWe are talking about pocophone here. But yes, Oneplus prices are standard today. Anyway, you prefer fragility and bloatware over fast and smooth performance, with up to date updates? Or is the real reason, the notch? Also remember that you get more ram and double up on internal storage. And yes, ram does matter on daily heavy usage.
Abhi Dahiya, 28 Mar 2019Comparison is not justified. Most people who bought Poco were the ones who would have earlier ... moreYou made a lot of factual errors in your post which I feel should be addressed.
The most glaring is your lack of understanding of the light bleed issue. GSMArena tested the Poco F1 and they found it one of the best calibrated displays out there at any price point. No mention of the so called screen bleeding issue which affected a few units in the first batch of handsets sold in India.
Secondly plastic is a very viable material for a handset and all my friends who use One Plus 6 (A great handset btw) all have to use a case as the handset is very slippery without a case and glass has a nasty habit of shattering if it falls from a height.
Yes the Poco F1 uses older GGS 3 but its as good as the One plus 6 in resisting scratches as shown in jerryrig
You also failed to mention that the Poco F1 offers better battery life and has stereo speakers which the One Plus 6 lacks and last but not least it has a SD card slot which again the One Plus 6 lacks.
I don't face any ads at all and to remove it you need to spend 2 mins which makes it a complete non issue. Unless you are a total noob who doesn't understand how to use a phone you can easily remove ads.
Yes the One Plus 6 has a better cam as you rightfully said but speed wise there is no difference at all.
https://www.mobilescout.com/new-products/news/n107740/poco-f1-vs-oneplus-6-speed-test.html
So to sum up your charge that the Poco F1 has a bad screen is totally false as shown by GSMarena and speed wise both are equally good. So its down to a slightly better screen and camera on the One Plus and better battery life, SD card support and stereo speakers on the Poco F1.
Zendroid, 29 Mar 2019So do tell us. How much of the more expensive features do you use? Ip68 says it self. But what... moreAre speed and performance not the same? May be oneplus 6T is faster than S9 by 0.1 seconds but it is not apparent in real life usage unless you use both side by side. But, S9 beats oneplus 6T in practical things such as ip68, card slot, headphone jack, wireless charging, better speakers, better cameras, etc. So, S9 is obviously better. Oneplus is not a real flagship, just a pseudo-flagship with lower price.
[deleted post]Poco is not a low end Chinese phone it is upper mid-range. OP1 was launched around the same price too.
Zendroid, 29 Mar 2019So do tell us. How much of the more expensive features do you use? Ip68 says it self. But what... moreThere isn't a huge difference between 6T and S9 price to begin with. Obviously I would choose Samsung over OP if price was similar.

GalaxyUser, 29 Mar 2019Poco is popular just because of PUBG. Since younger generation they don't much care about disp... moreSo do tell us. How much of the more expensive features do you use? Ip68 says it self. But what's so important about the rest? You get the same amount of bloatware on galaxy and poco. What is the real reason for buying the expensive high end Samsung? I bet 10$ that you can't convince us to buy Samsung over pocophone or Oneplus. Speed, performance and battery life is the 3 most valuable things. Ip68 is a big bonus, but not worth triple the money.
Abhi Dahiya, 28 Mar 2019Comparison is not justified. Most people who bought Poco were the ones who would have earlier ... moreExactly lol don't forget no NFC, OIS and water resistance. I never even seriously considered getting a Plasticophone for all the reasons we mentioned, and just because it has a flagship processor in it does not mean that it's a flagship phone and the 6T is a respectable flagship phone without all the unnecessary features found in $1000+ handsets. Also, going from a 64/3 GB OnePlus One to a 256/8 GB 6T is a huge upgrade for me, I'll keep using this phone as my daily driver for another four years since even OnePlus is increasing its prices like everyone else, the same thing will happen with Xiaomi phones including this one.
Poco is popular just because of PUBG. Since younger generation they don't much care about display and camera they want RAW performance.
India is very PRICE CONCIOUS market. The whole market is concentrated from INR 7000 (USD 100)- INR 20000(USD 300).
But still people who can afford flagship. They buy it.
Poco is just for SPEED nothing else. It is not overall package.
Abhi Dahiya, 28 Mar 2019Comparison is not justified. Most people who bought Poco were the ones who would have earlier ... moreThe Pocophone selling point and only selling point was to be the least expensive phone sporting a Snapdragon 845 SoC.
The Snapdragon 845 is / was the SoC used in Flagship phone
SoC is the specious argument put forward by Apple, in that having a phone that lead all others makes up for the lack of media sharing features. Android does both features and fast SoC
When it comes to performance not being an advocate for Xiaomi you can check the review for both
I have never really understood why OnePlus,
or Google Pixel produce phones without memory expansion except to be an Android IPhone, comparison between two models is easy just maths you can purchase 20 Pocophone, the same amount only gets you 11 OnePlus
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9109&idPhone2=9293&idPhone3=9623
So you're in a store asking yourself why am I paying 79% more 520 Euros instead of 290
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2019I know, I meant SD card slot, Don't think one plus has that since one plus one. On the opposit... moreAnd I never mentioned sd card slot. So why start talking about that?
