I would prefer NSA over Chinese though.
Anonymous, 26 Mar 2019Because Warranties does not existBecause warranties do not cover normal wear and tear from use. Pretty sure battery degradation due to repeated use of Super Charging is not gonna be covered by warranty if its defined as normal wear and tear from use.
The 100W charging power would be just its theoretical maximum on perfect conditions. In real world scenario, the charging will throttle due to heat production. Throttling is not a bad scenario, because heat management is important when charging Lithium based batteries. All in all, it's a remarkable tech.
I'm still hoping that smartphone manufacturers would implement a full-charge limit just so users can decide what percentage of the battery charge the charger should stop.

The 100W light bulb comparison is even wrong, your mindset were stuck in incandescent past while technology were now having 100W LED bulbs, they were pretty cool when fitted properly.

If heat is managed properly then it will be as good as any other quick charge solution we currently have.
im just right here eating popcorns while reading some comments
Would love my next super Xiaomi phone getting charged in 17 minutes.
Anonymous, 26 Mar 2019shouting " i trust them and you should too" is so smart............Well man i tried to be fair and clear thats it.
Peace.
It's crazy to me that a company like Xiaomi, which is embroiled in so many data theft scandals and is blatantly owned and operated by the Chinese military, is not getting in any trouble. Stop covering this brand please. Same goes for Huawei.
Anonymous, 26 Mar 2019Charge fast, wear out fast. Nope. Charging fast versus slow has nothing to do with battery degradation.

Charge fast, wear out fast.
While it is impressive to see a smartphone packing a 4000mAh battery being fully charged in just 17 minutes, I'm kind of concerned about the heat management of the charger to be honest. It's fine if they lower the voltage and increase the amperage, but the fact that it's 20V/5A makes it look worrying
Hopefully this tech comes in a mid ranger soon. Waiting for a long time for this tech
