Even tho they've sold more mi 8 than the poco. Xiaomi is just stupidly releasing too many phones without even caring about their users other than poco users, and yet ur expecting your midrange redmi note 5 to get the same amount of updates like their flagships.lol. Even other non-androidone midrange devices rarely get updates. If you wan regular updates just buy the mi A2

ei88, 11 Mar 2019With battery drain issues, I have tried factory reset and that seems to have solved the problem.Seriously? Factory reset solves the battery drain issue ? :O

You get 7-8 hours SOT now after reset of the device ?

I just want them to fix that damn battery drain issue. I used to get 7-8 hours SOT easily but after update to pie 5 - 5.5 hours max which is the only real downside for me. Otherwise very happy with the device.

Anyone else having issue taking screenies with VOLUME DOWN + POWER buttons? Mine would just restart the damn phone. Had to use the alt method of 3 fingers down swipe. works but not too practical as you have to use both hands when you're holding the phone.

                          - Support face recognition in Greece and Brazil

I switched from Stable to Beta because the stable didn't fix issues like Microphone going off when headphones are plugged in, as well as the lack of hiding notch apart from 4k 60fps recording.
The beta may give you quicker smaller fixes but its still buggy ...sometimes the OS would freeze up or crash (its seldom but it does happen) or stuff like with the latest update this week MIUI 9.3.7 Global beta - The phone gets hot quick and FPS while gaming was cut in half. I was using Dolphin - gamecube emulator when I noticed the drastic difference and had to rollback the update to the previous version 9.3.1 to get back my full gaming speed and cooler tempts.

SO if you switch to beta, you should be prepared for some issues to come up and if you don't have some knowledge with updating and downgrading MIUI then you'd have to wait to see IF they fix it by the next weekly update or when a update comes that does fix it.
