harlekkin, 07 Mar 2019WHYYYYYYY! What is all this pointless flipping and flopping of screens?! I wouldn't mind if these type of phones were more useful than smartphones but they're just impractical gimmicks especially when you consider the fact that most phone screens are now well above 6 inches, if you need anything bigger than that then get a tablet!
The point of having a foldable phone is to have two screens instead of one that just folds, both inward and outward folding phones are gimmicks and more prone to damage anyway.
Best foldable i have seen to date
Is the lower part visible so you can answer calls without opening the device? :S
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2019The point of this kind of Fold is to make the phone more compact when not in use. I love this.... moreThe small portion might be to act as an always on display (for notifications) when the flap is closed.

This is quite interesting design.
Conceptual drawings are usually not realistic especially for battery capacity.
A real foldable indeed. Kudos ZTE. We dont want huge tablet folded into another huge phone. That is just gimmick instead of being practical doing what foldable meant to be; compact.
Nova, 07 Mar 2019Doesn't look very practical i love to see how this work outThe small portion is for notifications when the phone is closed
Kangal, 07 Mar 2019So what is the aspect ratio? Maybe its 21:9 with rounded corners.... so 22:9, and when fold... morethis is a flip-phone- when folded, only a small strip of the screen is usable, so no squareish aspect ratio here. the idea is to flip open the phone when you want to use it, so it still will be anything from 16:9 to 21:9 aspect ratio. no outside screen. flip-phones in the old days usually have a secondary small screen on the outside just to display time or notifications, this will instead be done on the bottom portion that is not covered.
haha its a flip phone

I love this.... moreThe small uncovered portion of the display can show notifications and status, and could potentially be used for quick actions (quick reply, quick dial etc) - this could be very useful.
The point of this kind of Fold is to make the phone more compact when not in use. I love this. It looks very Japanese/utilitarian. But for those who want a tablet that folds then theres the Sammy and hua. What i dont get is why leave a small portion of the screen at the bottom. maybe theyll put notifications at the Bottom?
so nice
What are they thinking? Where's common sense?
People don't want a tall/narrow phone that just folds. We want a 8" tablet that folds and also has a secondary screen. Samsung's design needs a lot of improvements, but that's the one on the right track.
--VM--, 07 Mar 2019Still Peoples like 16:9 ratio .. Foldable design must be in this ratio.Yes!! Bring back 16:9!
All is good but cant they really make the hinges be behind the screen and not make them like teardrop notch on both sides
