Android OEMs make money by selling you a new phone, not by updating old ones.
Google makes money from ads, and they also sell the pixel, not by updating older phones.

Security has never been an important thing anyway, both for these companies and for users in general.

How about helping to keep your users safe with a minimum of 5 years Security Updates, instead of them having to turn to the developer community after 3?
