Sounds like "let me go"
In next 5-10 years even a go edition of phones will have 4GB of ram or Better and 64GB of dsk space or more. And 4-5000 mAh plus decent CPU and GPU.
Same old story everywhere, android "experts" who have never used a Go device claim that it will be rubbish or just not work.
I have some news for you geniuses: it works, and it works well. Source: a Nokia 1 owner.
For Android Go experience, I am using rooted Moto G3 phones. I have 2 Moto G3 and have installed custom rom-Pixel experience Go edition of Pie.
It works butter smooth with 2GB ram.
I feel it's better to use GO roms with old phones rather than having to manufacture a new hand set.
Even xiaomi unable to resist from Android Go, blabla bla 1GB is enough, just no.
Because people will install trashly optimized Android apps anyway, and complain later because slow down. Why not just port Android go for redmi5A or something. and yes, we can flash android go on 2GB+ devices
If Android Go phones were able to hit Google CEO Pichai's hypothetical $30 price point—or even twice that, 1 GB is fine. I can buy redmi 6A for ~$68 here. €80 for less is a madness
Right now, Android Go is an just another reason for OEM to create overpriced, terrible experience "smartphone"
My Nexus 5 has 2GB of RAM and it's barely usable. What are these phones meant for? They are certainly not "smartphones" as you won't even be able to smoothly run a web browser with a single tab on them not to mention other heavy apps.
In 2019 the minimum amount of RAM for an Android phone must be 3GB. If you're buying for the future it must be no less than 4GB. Yes, Android is on a bloated side.
