Mr Magma, 27 Jan 201916:9, 2;1, 18.5:9, 18.7:9, 19:9, 19.5:9, 7:3. Sounds legit (^_-)It doesn't sound legit to me, either. As is common knowledge in mathematics, simplified ratios can't have decimals in them. As a result, the sequence would be as following: 16:9, 2:1, 37:18, 187:90, 19:9, 13:6, 7:3. These all sound terrible, but I blame phone screen manufacturers for coming up with these ridiculous ratios in the first place.

I wonder how your thin, light device stands up to lots of knocks and drops... moreDo not compare cars with smartphone, both are completely different thing. Does your thick tablet can survive in water or does it have Military grade protection? my LG G6 is a very compact phone and very durable one. I am not talking specs on paper My G6 fell on asphalt and survived with a single minor scratch and used it under water many times. I don't think your 10 year old tablet can be able to do those?
I have used big and chunky back in the day but I always loved how technology evolved how they shrink the size of SoC , slimming down the bezel and more ingress protections.
A simple example for you to understand. Titanium is lighter than Steel doesn't mean it is weaker. And when it comes to Tech advancement weather it is Electronics or Software/OS older can never be better.

I wonder how your thin, light device stands up to lots of knocks and drops in dirt etc, or the cold, I wonder why so many heavy built cars have lasted so long compared to light modern trash, that were also built using "quality" materials etc ?
And you never did answer the question about medical condition, or you so young you didn't have access to big n chunky back in the day ?
Windows10, 26 Jan 2019No, it should be 16:9, 2:1, 7:3. All mathematics teachers will agree with me.16:9, 2;1, 18.5:9, 18.7:9, 19:9, 19.5:9, 7:3. Sounds legit (^_-)
Windows10, 20 Jan 2019Neither of them. Having decimals in ratios is stupid and takes away the point. I didn't got to... moreLol chill dude you're getting triggered for nothing haha.
So 16:9, 18:9, 21:9 or 16:9, 2:1, 21:9
Call it 2:1 then ^_^
Mr Magma, 13 Jan 2019Which pattern makes the most sense? 1) 16:9, 18:9, 18.5:9, 19:9, 19.5:9, 21:9 2) 16:9, 2... moreNeither of them. Having decimals in ratios is stupid and takes away the point. I didn't got to school and learn maths for years for this crap.
Anonymous, 15 Jan 2019on a standby mode :) ( not touching the phone or sure it will last 100 hours )well sure can be, if gsmarena endurance rating say to one phone 60 hour and other phone 106 hour then this 106 hour endurance rating phone lasts almost twice as much as this small battery phone. of course I know, it would not last 100 hour, but a day, 60 hour endurance rating phone needs charging in middle of day, I have had one and never want again.
BGChicago, 14 Jan 2019Why are youvonlyvcare about the widght of the phone? The height is equally important, even mor... moreThe height of the screen doesn't matter anymore. Phones have simply become way too tall to reach the top of the screen. Texting and many other things like scrolling are affected by the width, not the height. If a phone was too wide it would be impossible to use in one hand.

for me still 5.5' inch is the best for gaming and watching movie on the phone and still comfortable to handle. and fit to the pocket.
4.7 ! Best screen size !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kiyasuriin, 15 Jan 2019there's one handed mode for that actually. ^^; all the screen shrinks (With software bezels) t... morewell, but why I need this huge screen when it is shrinked to smaller? I always use phone one-handed so screen is ALWAYS SHRINKED? :D
looks like we need new poll with questions:
- what should be the body width of the phone
- what should be the body height of the phone
assuming that phone is with bezelless full screen (future trend)

want smaller phone!, 14 Jan 2019Marco, why you are against compact phone and go personal? You got better abilities or you just... moreI'm not against smaller phones I'm just saying screen size isn't the way to measure a phones size. I do however mind big bezels that waste space and the recent trend is to remove bezels and add more screen, so bigger screens, but not bigger phones to hold in one hand.
And actually no, I have small hands. At work whenever I have to shake hands with new visitors I feel like I have womens hands that drown in the big paws of other men, and yet handling the Mi Max's 88mm width one handed is easy.
I also have a lot of different clothes, of different brands and some bought here in Norway, some in the Philippines and China, so asian sizes as well. Yet none of my pants have trouble fitting my phone, even in the front pockets. So I do find it quote strange when someone claim their maximum fit is a fairly small Redmi 3 or 4, unless we're talking thight fit womens pants.
And as mentioned to the other poster, the Redmi 3 and 4 may have small screens, but there are modern equivalents size wise, and thinner in regards to width and thickness, that have bigger screens. Just because they have bigger (taller) screens, doesn't mean the phone is more difficult to hold or manage.
Even the old 5.3" LG G5 had bigger width than a current 6.39" like Z5 pro.
Sony's last "compact" had a 5" display, but room for more in height. However it was already very chunky, and this added to it's footprint in hand. 12.1mm thick!
So thats left side + back + right side (12.1+65+12.1) of 89,2mm to hold around, this is the same as most of todays 6 inchers, and even very close to the 6.39" Z5 Pro.
Kiyasuriin, 15 Jan 2019I hate fit jeans. call me a weirdo but I just don't like the tightness of fit jeans. =~='That I can understand, even mens "mainstrem" jeans for men have become thight fit now. Not comfortable at all, so classic jeans with room to breathe is still the way to go :-)
Moj, 15 Jan 2019you are that one dot of the chart! (just joking)Hahahaha~ It's okay. thanks! like guys. women got different preferences as well. I'm the weird potato I guess. xD //sHOT
