Love the Community, 11 Dec 2018Awtz... Omitting that codec seems okay for people who only watch 240p - 360p content on the go... moreBut you can watch 1080p on it other places than netflix. . . Neflix is limited to 540p and for that screen size and moving images (video) it's really doesn't make that much of a difference. Actually 960*540 is even "retina" at about an armslength away (48cm/19inches)and that's for stills. For preceived "retina" on video it's even closer.

oh, and yeah sure, I believe most people happily stream Netflix on the go at 2-3GB per hour (1080p). /s

Professional, 11 Dec 2018Do you really watch 4K movies on your phone, and not your smart tv?! No but I certainly watch 1080p which is much better than 540p.

Our phones became POCO Notch-1 now... after updating....
Please bring hiding the Notch... We hate the Notches...
Actually we feel better with square edged Rectangular screens not very roundy curved screens. And that too with Notch is like literally crying....

I used to hate notch, but slowly I can accept that.
Especially on los 16 for poco f1, feel pretty smooth and rock stable and plus I use Franco kernel.

Now, let us embrace the NOTCH!!.

What? A black bar? Don’t joke with me, I am a notchphile! Notches are my belief, Notches are my everything, a world without Notches does not have light, a life without Notches is incomplete!

"not being able to hide the notch anymore. It appears that the option is gone and we hope Xiaomi will bring it back in a future update."

WHY?? Is Xiaomi trying to be Nokia who also intentionally push that option deep down in developer settings (though they brought it out into the main settings in Pie update) so as to hope that people have NO CHOICE but to EMBRACE the FUGLY NOTCH?! Is Xiaomi also saying Indians in general "LOVE" the NOTCH?!

For those with Pocophone F1, stay off this update for now.

Did that update added the Widevine L1 Codec yet? Codecs are basically software based like DivX/XviD so it should be easy for them to do.
