Unfortunatley they don't always post the max from auto in all tables, and unless actually using the hateful auto mode one never gets that maximum brightness, but instead the 458 cd/m2 one.
Maximum brightness is important outside, sure, but has nothing to do with color accuracy and calibration which is where your ranting started. In normal lighting conditions, where one uses the phone the most the F1 is far better calibrated at the already mentioned setting.

Joe Dickson, 13 Dec 2018What are you talking about? The Pocophone has the worst calibrated screen of any $300+ smartp... moreHmm. You know for all your bluster there is a severe lack of data to back up your claims.
Here is what GSMarena has to say about the Poco F1 screen - "
Color reproduction can also be very accurate if that's your thing. Going for the 'Standard contrast' mode you'd be getting an average DeltaE of 0.9 (when compared against the sRGB color space) and the most accurate whites of all modes."
So 0.9 deltaE is ridiculously accurate. Which phone in that price range has better or even comparable accuracy.
So to conclude I can only say you are some online troll to disregard hard data to keep spewing your nonsense. Unless you can provide some hard evidence to back up your nonsense I think its best to avoid engaging with an obvious troll. Good day.

All of those phones have color and contrast adjustments, the Pocophone is the worst of them all with blacks that look grey, significant color shifting at the slightest angle and a screen that is unviewable in sunlight.

And the Z5 pro cuts corners everywhere, including the SD710 and the cameras are very very bad, as is the UI.
You call the Poco dim, but it has a maximum brightness of 461 cd/m2, which is higher than others you have listes such as OnePlus 6T, Mi8, and let me also include Nokia 7 Plus.
With regards to colors, the Poco blows the OnePlus 6T out of the water if you want accurate colors. Just change from "'Automatic contrast' to "standard contrast".
Average dE in Poco is 0.9 in the "standard contrast" mode. Oneplus 6T is 2.4 on averge, which is very average, and the worst is in cyan with a dE of 5. Mi8's average dE is 1.8 in it's best mode, so again the Poco wins. As for the Nokia 7 plus, average dE is 4.9 and the worst is 9.5! (ouch, my eyes!)
Of course it does not have as deep blacks as AMOLED, but it does have better black level than even the much more expensive iphone XR.
BrendonF, 12 Dec 2018You are going all over the place. You are comparing this $280 phone to more expensive phones. ... moreWhat are you talking about? The Pocophone has the worst calibrated screen of any $300+ smartphone. The greyscales are way off, blacks look like grey, cyan magenta and white are way off. The screen is dim and color shifting happens at the most gentle of angles. Any of the $300-400 Chinese budget flagships with the Samsung AMOLEDS blow it away like the Mi 8, Meizu 16 or Lenovo Z5 Pro.

You are comparing this $280 phone to more expensive phones. Compare apples to apples. Show me a phone in this price range that has a calibrated screen like the poco f1. I challenge you that you will fail to name even one phone that has a better calibrated screen. I have paid a lot of money to calibrate my desktop pc screen and the poco f1 is extremely close to my calibrated screen right out of the box.
Easywinner of a best phone of 2018 for sure.
It beats and outruns any other phone by a price range and lack of extra features which competition have and poco dont have which is great because not everybody would like to pay extra money for something he / she will never use.

One Plus is, just like Poco, a sub-brand of a big phone manufacturer. Created to "divide and conquer". Get the mother brand access to new markets where the original brand would keep failing in as they lacked any serious brand recognition.
Claiming that any of those two brands are anything like start-up brands is the only lie.
700k sales, with that amount of hype and trash talk is nothing but pathetic. Samsung sells that in a couple days.

It may be unbelievable for some that not all manufacturers sell their best phones at obscene high prices.... Some brands are working to get their foothold in one of the largest markets in the world after china and they can't get foothold by charging 1000$ equivalent price for a top tier phone let alone their second tier phone i.e. iPhone XR which costs about 1000$ in India.... compared to that people can get a Poco F1 at just 280$ and it's not flash sale for a long time now. they have regular supply.... It's like accusing Nexus 4 for selling hype because it went out of stock rapidly many times in initial 2-3 months from launch.....and i know that because Nexus 4 was my first Android Phone....
Anonymous, 10 Dec 2018This is a midrange phone with a highend SoC right? Blind tests say the screen is so much worse... moreyou talking about a techtuber's blind test (forgot his name but the dude has like 2 million + subscribers)? Then how about MKBHD's blind test that put the final tussle between Pocofone f1 and Mate 20 Pro for the camera(which by the way had 16 top end phones included in the blind test) ..... Mate 20 Pro won the test but Poco F1 is the runner up, no iPhone or Galaxy or HTC or Google beat Poco F1 in that blind test and that test is based on more than a million votes unlike that screen blind test which probably included less than 50 people and 2 phones.... Pocofone F1's camera not only beat the iPhone X but also beat note 9 in a blind test.... so as long as we are talking about blind tests, there's that to consider....
