            Nokia should not give their patents to such manufacturers, i know at the end, is all about money, but... I find it a mistake to let others to make the same quality as you. Especially after billions of dollars invested in researches...

In this type of strategy that Nokia is leasing their patent, HMD will run out of ideas to design phones and hence, copy the Chinese OEM. Or what if Nokia is giving it's expired patent/ cancelled patent to other OEM that Nokia once failed?

                      Lots of OEMs (inc. Apple and Samsung) rely on patents of Nokia. In other words Nokia are still very relevant today because many new technologies have parts that are owned by Nokia.
