max pro m2 is something i have been waiting for. I hope they release them here in Ph as well.
yeah the M2 definitely need usb-c as well as a 6gb ram variant. keep the notchless design and 3.5mm jack while they're at it.
a bit higher SD chip would be nice too
MSM8953 = Snapdragon 625
that's about Mr Quandt and his leaks.
taking over bsh-s is a nice thing as well.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2018R chinese govt selling 6inch displays in subsidy or chepaer price ? Why these brands offeeing ... moreThey are different brands but they source the parts from same vendors. Typically there will be only 3 - 4 vendors to supply these parts for all companies. Mid range devices does not give high margin/revenue. So these OEMs take the yesteryear flagship design. Once vendors are able to mass produce, they sell it for cheap. Now all OEMs use the same design. No need to invest in R&D for design and aesthetics for mid range devices.

"To be clear:
Not yet totally 100% on screen sizes and . . ."
For sure not,

With Zenfone Max and Max pro, Asus gained significant share in India and came out as main rival to Redmi Note 5 series. With these it will again replicate the same and should give a very tough fight to Redmi Note 6 series.
If the M2 specs are true, then there's no real successor to the Max M1. This supposed M2 with 6" is more like a notched version of the Max Pro M1.
[deleted post]Hahaha...these r the people who buy by seeing what's on paper (spec sheet)
Naaice. If they price it below 15K, it will kill the competition. SD 660 is still very much relevant and fast compared to any other mid range chipset. Only the 670 and 710 are faster and theu will not be seen in phones below 20K.
Asus is killing it this year in India. Replicating the success of the brilliant Zenfone 2!
one model with the same specifications for all markets in the world, because in my country Zenfone Max Pro M1 does not have an NFC sensor while in other countries it has these sensors
R chinese govt selling 6inch displays in subsidy or chepaer price ? Why these brands offeeing 6inch as default screen.
