Vlad, I like this idea of a video just with the cons mentioned. Please make this to a video series and don't listen to those uneducated butt-hurt comments here or on Youtube. All the best and looking forward to the next "Everything that's WRONG with....." video.
123, 11 Nov 2018just buy an asus zenfone 5z instead. more premium Yes, the Zenfone has metal body and NFC which the Pocophone doesn't have but then the Pocophone also has larger 4000mAh battery vs. the Zenfone's 3200mAh and the Pocophone costs half the Zenfone.

Kress, 11 Nov 2018As I see, Xiaomi fanbois are still crying in comments. Nice view. Xeromi :))What a fanboy comment.... are you one of the semi-religious aPple fans?
This embarrassing video does not even mention what's actually wrong with the device!
It only tells some of the compromises & decisions openly taken to make the device as is.
To proclaim the offering of the far superior back material Kevlar as a wrong can best be described as "wrong"....
And Vlad does not even mention the touch issue that IS wrong...
Nor the video decoder issues reported.
And even if these might be fixed by software updates, as they aren't fixed currently they DO count as "wrongs".
I suggest you read this thread (again?).
(And NO I'm not an owner, as is not intending to be one, but to me it looks like a really good deal for those not in need of the features Xiaomi have omitted to keep the costs down)
Kress, 11 Nov 2018As I see, Xiaomi fanbois are still crying in comments. Nice view. Xeromi :))Just stop it. I don't own or plan on ever buying the Pocophone F1, but I give credit where its due. It's an excellent phone at a steal price. It's likely even better than the phone you're using right now.

David C., 09 Nov 2018Very unfair ... It can not be compared to phones that cost US$700, $800, $900 or $1000 ... you... moreCouldn't agree more. This isn't a flagship. It's a mid range phone with a flagship's SoC crammed in it.
And that is why it has that price tag.
Hi all
Worst 📷 camera worst slo-mo worst video quality the vidoe output is flickering while playing.....I have opted for return nfrom Flipkart but landed in problems buying it not worth 21k....PLS DNT CALL IT FLAGSHIP PHONE ...with speed there be should performance
I use poco.. very happy with it. Battery is amazing.
Its much better than all my friends iphones that are one year+. But guess what.. they will not buy a new phone yet because they have already spend 1000+ for their phone. Next year when they choose to buy again i will already have another poco for 300 usd that will be ahead of them.
Technology is moving fast, its pointless to think that getting the best phone today will take you 2 years. Even you buy a 2000+ phone today, it will still be an old machine with a shity batter compared to a 200 usd phone 2 years ahead.
Instead of buying an 800+ USD phone every 2 years. I chose to buy a 300 USD phone every year.
Pixel was the first to offer better bang for buck. Then OP and now the F1. Both the earlier brands price have increased and currently compromise on few features.
The title what's wrong is wrong in first place.
Don't screwup by making any future videos where u target smartphone brands on the features which were omitted for a purpose. U started it with F1 and felt the rant. Any smartphone buyer who purchase a phone considers all features and what suits him or her makes the deal. It's a good phone and personally feel there's nothing wrong with the phone with this price point.
Alien , 09 Nov 2018Maybe next time you won't be so cheap and you'll go buy a real phone, not a wannabe replica..
... moreI'll take it from the start:
Firstly you're mistaken.
I didn't get this phone because I'm cheap, you know nothing about me or my income so there goes that.
My reasoning of getting this phone was because it had all the features I needed, the price was just the cherry on the top.
OP6, for example, didn't have stereo speakers, micro sd slot, a 4000mah battery.
S9+ has everything mentioned above but is pricey, even negating the price factor, it has close to 0 Android development on xda developers. (And I need my phone modded for various reasons, I've always had my phones like that since the original Galaxy S i9000 and I'll keep on having them like that as long as I can. )
So yeah, I wasn't being cheap, I just got what suited me the best.
The rest though, I agree partially.
I'm disappointed in their quality control, and hardware is indeed of lower quality.
I live in Europe myself and got mine from the official xiaomi store, so I was supposed to have quality control like you mention but that wasn't the case.
I don't know what feature you wanted and it isn't there but in my case, it had everything I needed.
Poco is supposed to be about speed and development, they mentioned this themselves, so your statement that "most of the people have no clue about the technical stuff." goes right out of the window, because this phone isn't targeted to the mainstream consumer.
I should have searched on xda since I log in on it daily you're right there, but I never considered the touchscreen would have an issue, I mean we're in 2018, soon 2019, I haven't seen this kind of issue surface since 2013. How could I think of searching about that? I was taken by surprise as well.
The bar is indeed set too low, xiaomi should up their quality control and gsmarena should stop being biased.
Have a nice day, I hope I got you covered now.
What's wrong with the Pocophone F1? Seriously? In the vast ocean of essential and useful features that the phone has that MANY other flagships costing 3x to 4x as much don't even have, the review would rather focus on what the phone is lacking and calls it as something 'WRONG' with the phone. It's really way TOO MUCH nitpicking in a super value phone that costs only 300EUR (it's actually LESS than 300EUR in Asian Markets).
For around 300EUR, you get a superb smartphone with:
1. 6 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage - This is the base model.
You can go up to 8GB RAM, 256 GB storage for a bit more!
2. Dual camera with 4K 30fps video capability - and YES, it has manual controls so you
can set the ISO and shutter speed to stop that stupid AI and AUTO mode from ruining
your shots with high ISO, unnecessarily fast shutter speeds, excessive noise,
excessive contrast, excessive saturation, etc.!
3. IR based face recognition - if you want 'face unlock'; an alternate to the fingerprint
sensor!
4. Snapdragon 845 - in a 300EUR phone for crying out loud!
5. Dual SIM - not that stupid e-SIM that is only usable in the US and very few countries,
and requires you to be locked to a postpaid plan (no prepaid option)!
6. Micro sd card slot - For maximum storage expandability!
Micro sd card prices have precipitously dropped! 400GB Sandisk micro sd now
for only $109! No need to waste money on 128GB, 256 GB and 512GB storage options!
64GB internal storage + a 400GB Sandisk micro sd card for $109 is all you'll ever need!
7. 3.5mm Headphone jack - who said this is only for headphones? All electronic audio
equipment have them! Many Treadmills, receivers/amplifiers, CD/DVD/BD players,
karaoke players, audio-visual systems only accept 3.5mm audio connections.
You mean to say owners of those appliances/devices (not you) need to upgrade to
their stuff so it will play nice with your phone that doesn't have a headphone jack?
Bonus, bonus! You don't need to remember charging headphones or drain your phone
battery needlessly. No need to waste money of annually disposable bluetooth powered
ones ear/headphones because their batteries would have worn out and be rapidly
discharging by then--- AND, if you are a music lover, no more bombarding your brain
with 'harmless' bluetooth radiation 4 - 6 hrs a day!
8. FM Radio - who said nobody appreciates live music/live news broadcast with their
favorite DJ in their local language? A life saver during calamities!
No unnecessary waste of data, no rapid battery drain, thank you!
And you thought FM radio is obsolete?
9. Huge 4000mAh battery - Wireless charging in exchange for the vastly more
important and more useful high capacity 4000mAh battery? In a 300EUR phone,
with all of those additional features above? Are you serious? I'll take the huge
4000mAh battery ANYTIME! If you don't know already, Huge batteries
mean slower battery wear! Longer browsing, more streaming, more gaming, more
flash/non-flash photography, more video recording, more movie playback, longer
battery lifespan, and longer phone life!
10. LTE-only capability - Have you ever been in a basement, elevator, or travelling
to an area with low LTE signal? Don't you just hate it when your phone automatically
shifts to slower 3G just because the 4G/LTE signal is weak? Well if you don't know,
Xiaomi phones allow you to force any network to LTE-only so you'll always have
LTE speeds, anywhere even when there is only 1 bar of LTE signal. Other flagship
phones don't have that option. And no, don't worry, about battery drain due to low
LTE signal. The Pocophone has got 4000mAh!
There, so much for nitpicking. Stop complaining if the Pocophone doesn't have NFC or waterproofing or wireless charging, or plastic build. Those 10 things above are vastly WORTH SO MUCH MORE than that missing wireless charging (that heats up and accelerates battery wear and death), waterproofing (that is nice to have, but gone in a year or so after the rubber seals shrink, crack and become brittle/oxidized with time) or NFC that is only useful in a very few countries. Sure a metal build would be nice instead of plastic. But for 300EUR and all those features above? I'm not complaining!
Very unfair ... It can not be compared to phones that cost US$700, $800, $900 or $1000 ... you have to compare it with phones of the same price: US$330
I'm not sure calling it "wrong" is the right wording. This phone is all about compromises. What are YOU willing to give up to get the raw horse power at that price? And I personally don't have any issue with the F1 in that regard. There's no surprises for what it does or doesn't have. It's up to the customer to decided if it's the right phone for them or not.
SKG, 08 Nov 2018Oof, Just buy the Kevlar Edition. For NFC buy a smartband with nfc.But there is no such smartband...
