dvdivx, 17 Oct 2018The incompetence of Xaiomi never fails. Guess they will never learn other countries don't use ... moreIt's only some countries...
Never had an issue with any XiaoMi phones from where I am, Asia, I can use my phone with practically any carriers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand...
It's not incompetence, it's the country you residing in that restricts their band... So remember, when you point a finger, the other 3 points back at yourself...
Bye...
ipolit.matveich, 17 Oct 2018They can buy the cheapest LTE hotspot enabled phone, such as Nokia 3310 and to use the pocopho... moreGet real, for this price you can get phone that supports all 4g bands. Not this massive compromise Poco.
Nice phone with a very good price, but how much more would it have cost them to put a multi-mode global band on that phone? Even though a nice phone with good specs, the absence of LTE bands in the US market makes it not very usable. This would have been a huge hit on every market if it had global bands, understanding there would be some increase in price as well.
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2018By other countries you meant United States ? I live in Northern-Europe and i have all 3 bands... moreB20 is very useful in both for mountainous and rural areas due to its greater range and for urban environments due to larger penetration in the concrete buildings. So yes, people want their phone to support B20.
AnonD-632062, 17 Oct 2018Finally, for once, the USA does NOT get the best deal for a smartphone. But still, $370 is... moreThe OnePlus 6 has nothing to envy to this phone, the Mi 8 tho is on par to the OP6 imo.
dvdivx, 17 Oct 2018The incompetence of Xaiomi never fails. Guess they will never learn other countries don't use ... more4 LTE bands out of 5 used in France are supported by Xiaomi midranges and even flagships, so it really depends of the country...

I live in Northern-Europe and i have all 3 bands supported on my Xiaomi phone for 4G.
Event a B20 band that i really dont need but people have panic if they dont have it :D
And you cant really blame Xiaomi for the not in market in US. Thats something that US is in war with China in electronics and what not. And US market isnt that big to get there and eat up all the requirements asked for to be in US market.
Well, I'll still get it, because who needs 4G when 5G is around the corner.
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2018'killer price' . . . for what? for a useless piece of junk? Pls. check for radio cover... moreYes I can agree on that. It's just a phone with SD845 and that gimmicky liquid cooling system. Nothing extra it's screen is worst. Camera in low lights are bad. No fast updates. Op6 already got pie if you're saying flagship than treat it like flagship. No 4g support is a pure deal breaker. Who buys a phine without 4g now days.
They can buy the cheapest LTE hotspot enabled phone, such as Nokia 3310 and to use the pocophone. Much better option than the Palm companion
this issue ist software-related . . .

for a useless piece of junk?
Pls. check for radio coverage of Oneplus phones!
POCO is for kiddies only.
Just only has that SD845 an nothing more to offer,
here can you see useless even as a phone.
The flagshipkiller ... lol
w/ entry level screen and radio support and so on.
for nearly $ 400 just a bad joke.
The incompetence of Xaiomi never fails. Guess they will never learn other countries don't use Chinese LTE bands unlike OnePlus.and Samsung
I can predict the poco won't be popular in us.
AnonD-632062, 17 Oct 2018Finally, for once, the USA does NOT get the best deal for a smartphone. But still, $370 is... moreChina and India, not USA; usually get the best deals!
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2018.....how does that company expect to sell the phone it doesn't have even bands 2, 12, or 17? T... moreIt won't (at least in US). But Xiaomi's main target market is in Asia and some of the European countries. A phone with no 4G connection is a potato.
Was it released in Mexico yet? That model should at least have bands 2 and 4.
AnonD-632062, 17 Oct 2018Finally, for once, the USA does NOT get the best deal for a smartphone. But still, $370 is... moreWell Poco is mauling all of the competition its the very best bang for its bucks for sure.
