worst software as usual by Lenovo
I was expecting this phone with below features that are missed out being a K 'Killer'
1. FHD 1080 x 2246 pixels
2. 3500-4000 MAH battery with fast charging support
3. Notch display 5.84 Inch (so that its compact and one hand usage)
4. Snapdragon 636 or 660
5. Price 10,000 for 3GB/32GB with dedicated microSD card slot so that it's better or similar to Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1)
6. Rest everything is good
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2018U bought a Lenovo phone and sold it within 3 months because of no updates?
Or if u used only... more3 months are more than enough 2 know how bad the software is. The phone I am talking about is the Lenovo Z2, and it's software was really bad.
And if you know anything about the market, you surely should know that Lenovo is the worst among all brands in terms of updates. They promised Nougat for Z2, but then backed out, that's when some influential tech youtubers/bloggers in India had to come up and bash them publicly for them to provide a half baked Nougat, which actually cripple the brilliant hardware even more. Same with G4+, and G5S+, which still doesn't have Oreo.
Also, they launched some very low profile K/K Note devices as well last year, which thankfully didn't sell. But even there, they brought stock android to Lenovo branded devices for the first time so that they could provide quicker updates. And guess what, they still don't have Oreo, after launching on Nougat and promising Oreo by mid 2018, which was already a really long time frame.
Do I need to go on and on about how bad Lenovo is?

Come up with something else..
Missed to mention the USB type C
You know what, Lenovo. I've been waiting for the true successor of my Vibe K4 Note for ages (two years but feel pretty long, lol).
I know the current trends involve dual triple or even quad cameras, abominable notches, elongated screen, lame removal of the headphone jack... But the killer feature for me is my phone's dual front-facing stereo speakers! Wish you bring them back soon!!
A K4 Note successor with 6" 18:9 FHD+ screen, minimal bezels that enough to house the stereo speakers, headphone jack intact, 32GB/4GB, larger battery (at least 3500 mAh), SD636 or SD660, improved main camera coupled with actually-useful telephoto camera, dual-SIM with dedicated mSD slot, and $200-250 price would be a killer phone.
Name that Vibe K9 Note? Why not?
omg, i already have this phone, except the branding said huawei instead of lenovo. i wonder why.. /s
Anonymous, 16 Oct 2018Looks like the honor 9 from the backAs a Honor 9 user, I can confirm.
where is the successor of p2
Looks like the honor 9 from the back
I had a Lenovo phone once. Had to sell it at almost half the price in just 3 months. If you ask me to name one brand with the worst software support, it's not Xiaomi, or Oppo, or Vivo, or Sammy. It's Lenovo. Here's a warning: never buy Lenovo phones (or Moto phones), no matter how enticing their prices!
It has "USB C" and it only costs INR 9k (US$ 125), this is by far THE best value phone in the Cosmos. LENOVO rocks,,thank you and god bless you.
This phone is just a disappointment. After that "killer" teaser i thought it would come with sd660 or something. But they purely disappointed me
Sucks
It has a type C port!
Finally, lenovo quality was on par with samasung aka much better than xiaomi, oppo even huawei
Funny, thing is that after the whole Z5 "Lie-novo-GATE" incident, Lenovo launches are now actually interesting to look forward to and the brand attention has definitely increased again, even though it is for a notorious reason.
I guess the saying is true: "There is no such thing as bad publicity"
