Anonymous, 24 Sep 2018just reminder - you wont get any proper update and off course note 8 lags The Note 8 will get another major update, it'll get Android 9.0 Pie in April after the S9 & Note 9.
No it doesn't lag, read the review or go on the Note 8 users page.

This is what I expect happened, the seller may have gotten hold of contract upgrade phones these contract Note 9 phones are sold, the user continues to use there older phone
At the 2 year end even, even if mothballed would get a fraction of the price
I doubt that these phones are direct from Samsung.
If contract phone it could be network blocked if the original seller defaults

Carphone Warehouse are offering (in conjunction with Samsung) £510 for a used Note 8, which is MORE than it is worth new! Apparently, Samsung want people to upgrade to the 9. I don't quite get it because there is no way they can resell the 8 for a profit, and if we're only paying £400 or so for the 9, then the only way all parties are making money here is from the airtime contract, and even then, the margins must be tight. Or do Samsung want us to adopt DeX ready for some forthcoming paid service?

Can't see a reason to mention the pocophone here. It's a great device, but $170 will get you features of an extra phone, that's a good deal to me. I'd take the note over the sheer power of the poco.

Note 9 already 512 getting good cash back offer in my place. That goes less than $1000 actually....There is no other mobile near to its place for the value it offers.
