Sunday Debate: iPhone XS Max vs a used car Comments

This doesn't work in my country lol.
In my country, the downpayment of a used car is more then a XS Max.
And a brand new car, can buy 50 XS max.
So i am not surprised to see XS maxes everywhere here lol. And my brain will always pick the car over any smartphones.

Car is better choice, and these are several reasons:
- Car has higher value.
- This Mini Copper looks nice, while iPhones are ugly.
- Car is easier to repair, and there are more parts available.
- You can customize a car.
- Toys

Definitely the mini cooper win by KO. Almost all people will choose the mini cooper instead of this apple XS max and for the phones they use only mediocre android phones that cost less than £ 100, so it is very conveniet, you can have both car and a good smartphones

Interesting thing to think about, and I think the answer for most people will entirely depend on their situation. If I was given one of these, I'd probably want the iPhone because I'm not the type to buy luxury stuff but am not opposed to use luxury stuff. If I had to buy, some car like the mini all the way - you can't really go cheaper than the mini and still get something useful while you can easily get a cheaper phone and still have a great experience. But, if you were in the position in which you were well off, had a great car and had a great phone - tbh not sure what would be more useful for someone, a phone upgrade or a fun 2nd car. would depend on the person, I guess.
Alternatively, something like a OP6 + an electric scooter like the M365 would be cheaper than both and serve the job of having a quality phone + having a means of transportation. Worth thinking about :)

After buying a plastic bloatware thing I chose what to be installed on it. Why should I buy expensive and fragile thing (almost $1000 for repairs) come on I think twice.
I was asked by junior brother *calls and other subscribing services are they free on this $1449 thing?* lol

But on pre-orders Samsung had offers & headphone bundles & straight after that discounts on Amazon/ ebay & high street shops.
Then Apple announces iPhone Xs & Xs Max @ $999 to $1,499 & was the focus of highest prices.
Fact is Samsung is better value for money especially with the discounts whereas Apple has the biggest profit margin & no deals yet, they didn't even bundle a fast charger or 3.5mm headphone jack dongle with their Xs/ Xs Max.

Imagine it as android phone, how mid-range looking would that be, counting all specs but processor.

My Xz2 Premium was 1000 too with the ear duo included.
Battery life is very similar to the Xz2. Which means hours more than any iPhone.
I can record 4K HDR Hybrid Log Gamma and watch it right on the Bt2020 certified screen. It has much wider gamut than iPhone despite being LCD.
Photos are much better than iPhone Xs Max. I have found samples that were compared to Xz3 and Note 9. Both do better than Xs.
Selfies are miles ahead. Better than XA2 Ultra or Pixel 2.

But how about a Samsung Galaxy S3? hmmJust compared the S3 and iPhone 5s(I still have both of them as a replacement phones just in case). Well, I liked the Samsung much better. The display on S3 is far better, also great size compared to the mini size of 5s :D And yes, the S3 works like a charm!

It would still be a decent device if there was app support for it. It’s known that iPhones have longer support. But that does not mean that S3 is not a good quality device.

[deleted post]Most cars that cost as much as a phone will have some problems.
I am not mechanic so I can never be 100% sure that such low price car won’t have any issues. Therefore - I don’t buy cars that cost as much as a better phone.
