Android Auto has two black bars on the top and bottom of the cars display unit when using via Pocophone F1. The issue has been going on for a long time however Xiaomi hasn't provided any fix or even acknowledged the issue. Issue seems to be present in all Xiaomi phones having a notch.
Is it 5G enabled.
Anonymous, 07 Sep 2018So the camera can take better low light photos now after the patch?? If not, its camera still sucks.Without OIS built in, it will be never much better.
Missing hardware-parts couldn't be updated!
I think even support for HD video streaming couldn't be added later.
but more interesting not much over this bugs in rev.

Good thing. But would have been seriously impressed if they had the September security patch. Not blaming Xiaomi here, but the whole Android system. In desktops, Windows XP was supported for 12 years with virus definitions and security patches even when 7 was out. Now that 10 is out, you still get support for 7. And of course, 10 to gets regular patches and updates irrespective of your hardware or region. More than the latest OS, Google and/or OEMs should be looking at making monthly security patches available. Let hardware be on even a lollipop or KitKat, which are still less than 5 years old. Let them be devoid of the latest features. But why can't security patches, which don't need a whole lot of OS and interface tweaking, be coming in every month? Just like Windows desktop releases weekly updates, shouldn't Android be getting s security patches as a matter of routine? Would rather not have the latest features than be at the mercy of the latest security vulnerabilities. Can never ever have a banking app on a phone. Everybody copies Apple for the silly things - sealed battery, notches - but nobody copies the one good thing Apple does. Security updates.
now that the OTA update fixed minor issues with the camera will gsmarena.com update the archived comparison photos ?
This phone is under my radar
Just can't wait to get mine.
I will get it on September 22nd (my birthday).
I am happy to see Xiaomi giving fast updates on this phone.
Tomorrow I will get mine. Can't wait!
July patch... Why bother with an older patch seriously...
Renato Oliveira, 06 Sep 2018Will you re-make the camera testing of the review if the results are significantly different?Probably in the long term review
