On the other hand bezels do. It is wasted space of the front page of the phone. The botch area is where you put your notification area. Nothing is lost. What content can you put on a bezel?
The assymmetry is irrelevant and for fashion weirdos. It does not lack symmetry if you use a black background on the notification bar anyway. It is just a black bar that has notifications on some part, sensors on other and signal bar on another yet.
Like I said a fanboy. Only fanboys lack imagination.
Nothing wrong with a notch. It is slightly worse than having the sensors underscreen but for any other case it is just better.
Who is first ?
Anonymous, 05 Sep 2018Haha only a fanboy would prefer a bezel. Bezels are useless, make phone bigger and look like ... moreNotches waste screen space, even as minimal as possible. It gets worse when on landscape mode since you cannot justify your beloved notch for notifications or time. You end up with black bars or hidden content. They also make screens more expensive, thus more expensive to repair. They are also a problem because of the asymmetry they cause. Now I just proved that my opinion is not based on fanboyism but on undeniable facts. What about you?
AnonD-558092, 05 Sep 2018Your comment lacks any sense. I ain't no fanboy of anything. Maybe you just saw yourself in a mirrorHaha only a fanboy would prefer a bezel. Bezels are useless, make phone bigger and look like sh**. Only Samsung/Sony fanboys like them....

AnonD-546724, 04 Sep 2018Well, there's a 20% performance downgrade from the 845 to the 9810.
Wether you like it or not.So you're saying that the Snapdragon performs 20% better than the Exynos 9810.
I hate to tell you that you're wrong, but you're wrong, because the Exynos is faster than than the Snapdragon.
Your claim only applies to the graphics synthetic benchmark of the Exynos's 18-core Mali-G72 MP18 v's the Snapdragon's Adreno 630 GPU & NOT the overall performance of the chipsets.
In real life do we notice the difference, Idk.
But for sure it's this aspect that has so far put me off getting the Exynos S9+ & Note 9, I've been asking for more clarity on the performance differences between the Exynos & Snapdragon.
I suspect this is where you got your 20% figure from:
'It feels a bit pointless saying it, but we'll say it anyway - the Galaxy Note9 (Exynos) is a top-grade performer. It's unrivaled among droids in single-core CPU performance, and it's got class-leading multi-core results. When it comes to graphics, the Snapdragon 845-powered devices have the upper hand, putting out on average about 20% better numbers'.

For more details between Exynos 9810 & the Snapdragon 845 (if you missed it in the above linked article) see:
https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s9_plus-review-1736p6.php
Exynos was also mentioned in the Note 9 video review for being faster than the Snapdragon, if you want to jump straight to it cue forward to 5:52 "The Exynos (9810) is faster than the Snapdragon (845)":

Again I would like to know the real life differences maybe this will be incorporated into the original review or the 'Long term review' (which should really be called the 'Mid term review' ;)
You have an "English ONLY" rule here, but you are now using images in chinese or any other language at will. Why didn't you made at least a translated image?, I know you translated the results in the article, but silly me, I wanted to see the bars and know what phones were there. Do you imagine that this rant were written in spanish or italian, and after that came the translation?, mmm uncomfortable, right?, or at least, against the rules. Why don't you apply your own rules.... or modify them?
Anonymous, 05 Sep 2018I second that.... Seems one sided testing since Sony nor iPhones tested. If only you could see Android label on top...
Besides how many xz2 premium (sd 845 ones) phones sold in first place to be on database?
sad that everybody is looking these days at performance only. nobody cares about quality and durability of the phones. for example, my Samsung S8 get broken(all sensors died, including GPS) exactly when wen in a short vacation. So what if S8 is a good performance phone and has more performance that I need when it gets broken when you need it more... the phone is not even 1 year old...
I don't care benchmarks. Real life performance is different.
Gsmarena, you can find the stats in English. Why do you keep posting Chinese image???
meh, not a fan of benchmarks. they're nice to justify your poor decisions to buy this instead of that, but real world usage isn't reflected well enough or consistently enough to really mean anything.
namla, 05 Sep 2018AnTuTu sucks. I think geekbench is the perfect tool.I second that.... Seems one sided testing since Sony nor iPhones tested.
For the iPhone comments, the top of the table states "Android", I don't believe iOS is a part of the Android family.
