I am using j7 2016 from the year it's launched and still very much happy with it. I gave my phone to dad and planned to buy new. But i changed my mind and taken J6 2018
(Rs.10500) for my dad on may and taken back j7 2016 with me. Now happy to here that it will receive oreo but i am comfortable with Android 7.

How about A9 Pro probably did not have a great sales success and because of this they may have thought they no longer deserve to invest in a new software

Very nice to see this. I'm using J7 2016 for almost two years now, and it's still a nice phone, and I never had any problems with it. This also might be a game changer for other OEM's and their update policy.

However is there any 2015 flagship with Oreo... moreSince Samsung's new money-grabbing planned obsolescence roadmap scheme started with the implementation of a glass sandwich design which screams "PREMIUM", (yet is quite the opposite on fragility) just that lone fact definitely constitutes & warrants a OREO upgrade to the founding foundation S6 line which started the aforementioned "premium" trend to OEM's benefit.
They reap so much cash from these "user inaccessible" devices that at the very least they should give meaningful software updates.
