Most lagginess is legacy software causing issues, and simply clean wipe and install fixes this. My MI5 runs almost as good as day 1 after 2.5 years and the camera has improved and general software/UI improved as well

        > Android version change is just a change of number.
You have to be ignorant on a whole new level to say that.
I don't even like Samsung because their phones are the worst in terms of longevity, but here you go on as if I am trying to defend Samsung. Don't follow a brand blindly; they all make bad decisions.
I won't even try to argue with you anymore, it has become quite clear that it's just a waste of my time. Ty :)

          1. Xiaomi software support is probably much better someone like Samsung even, despite costing half. I concede that they don't update android versions quickly (which actually no one should care about because it's just a change of number). But that's it. Xiaomi is on par, and sometimes even better than the likes of Samsung in terms of bug fixes. Just because it is cheap you are simply assuming that they are crap.

          2. In terms of performance MIUI is way snappier than Samsung's skin. It's almost on par to even Oneplus' skin. (You can check a speedtest between the Mi Mix 2 vs OP5 speedtest for reference).

          3. You questioning MIUI's battery optimisation, this was what made me sure you never used Xiaomi (at least in the past 3-4 years). Battery optimisation on MIUI is one of the best in Android. And that's not only considering the large batteries, their software way more optimised than you think.

nik.007, 31 Aug 2018So you mean Samsung, Google, Apple does not have minor bugs? Let me pop your bubble, but ALL ... moreLet me pop *your* bubble. People buy flagships also because of good UX. Flagships get more attention along with updates. The minor bugs that they have get fixed earlier than a mid-ranger. Chinese phones are mostly mid-rangers. And they release phones every. other. day. This leads to lack of attention.
I didn't say Samsung phones don't have bugs. They are really bad in terms of user experience :)

P.S. Apple provides real 5-year support, unlike Xiaomi which does not update the android version, just the skin (it's still better than what other android manufacturers do, but if you don't like bloated performance and battery leeching skins, you have to look elsewhere)
