Why a 660 this late in the game. Phones have already been released with 636.
let alone the existence of 670 and 710.
....this phone packed with 6GB of ram according to this leaked benchmark.... a mid range with 6GB that would be amazing if it's the case!

XA2 Plus is the best overall designed phone on the market currently. No other midragner nor flagship comes close to it in terms of industrial aesthetics, ergonomics, choice of materials and fit and finish. Backplate is made out of metallic plastic composites like it should be which means no easy-dent-prone metals nor ridiculous and heavy glass coating either.

There's no way that XA3 , unless Sony has turnback plans on their model number series of H44XX . H44XX , especially H4493 mentioned there , is actually the XA2 Plus (Dual) in the highest possibility , as H44XX hasn't been ocuppied by any Sony phones , and if XA3 release at somepoint , it would be either model "I" or at least , H45XX and afterwards .
For processor , it's obvious Snapdragon 630 , although sometimes Geekbench confusingly directed to S660 , cause H44XX is XA2 Plus Dual variant , and XA2+ has S630 . And still for XA3 successor , it's uncertain tho , either S636 , S640(?) or S660 ... Because High S6XX last seen on Xperia X - X Compact (Loire) , and highest mid-range SD chipset they ever implemented was and still S630 (Low S6XX series) :/ .

Without it there is no 960fpsInitially I also thought IMX586 isn't a flagship sensor for Xperia flagships, just like the Sony IMX486 at the back camera of my Redmi 5 Plus isn't a flagship sensor.
I believe the XZ3 would have the IMX500 instead, which is the successor to the IMX400, which would have a DRAM.
Maybe the IMX586 would be exclusive to the mid range lineup.

It's definitely a step in the right direction skipping the XA2 plus with SD630 in favor of the successor XA3 (and its variants) with the more powerful SD660. However, Sony could've taken a larger leap foward and used SD710 or SD670 to get ahead in the midrange instead of playing catch-up with the other manufacturers. But it's still better compared to Samsung that's still using Exynos 7870 in most of their midrange phones jn 2018.

Although going one step forward with the chipset is a very good idea over the Snapdragon 630, I'm not sure if the 660 is alright. It's a great chipset for the midrange of course, lots of performance, but 670 is the way to go in my opinion. I don't give a pig's a**e about the newer features of 670 though, the only thing I'm worried about is Sony giving the age of the chipset and Qualcomm's "supposed" drop of support as the reasons for not providing "newer Android version upgrades anymore" after ~1 year of XA3's release. Simply put; taking the age of the chip instead of the age of the device as the criteria for newer software update eligibility.
