One of the most interesting feature on Xperia phones is the added RAM in the sensor. It helps quite a bit with autofocus burst for example and it works very well. This added RAM is not only about Super Slow Motion and that's a great thing.
There's also Superior Auto since 2013, which is basically what everyone is calling "AI" today.
And I'm not sure about predictive capture, that's a nice feature too.

Common Sony we need more competition in the mobile world not just apple,samsung and apple Clones.
Sony(and lg) constantly make the same mistake by pricing their phones in the same range as apple.The mistake has cost HTC.

Sony's phone are lack behind and always playing a catch up instead of leading ( so all of those first this first that is pointless when they can't make it useful and common).
Even until now, Sony still haven't put OIS in their phone's camera and their camera app shut down due to the device heating up was and still is a big problem. You really can't use their phones and camera during a hot day/sunny day and definitely cannot under direct sunlight!
And RAM management are also a known issue that most xperia users are asking for a RAM management app. Storage wise, Sony are like apple in this case. When most flagship give people a 64GB storage as standard and Sony is the only one in Android phone that doesn't give a sh!t to their users!
Xperia XZ US version with 32GB + 3GB RAM here.
I'm glad that I didn't pay a full 650 to 7xx dollars for the phone. Thank God I purchased this with a decent discount.

Sure LCD might be superior to AMOLED but look at what consumers want, right now AMOLED is the preferred choice for flagships, even some mid-rangers have it no one wants to buy a phone with LCD, the majority of consumers don't care if they get a screen burn and a tiny 5.8 inch 4K screen is a gimmick at best because it runs in 1080p and 4K resolution on such a tiny screen is of no use.
Now, let's wait for Sony fanboys to accuse me of being a Sammy fanboy lol, they just can't accept the facts :D

They have showed what they d... moreI don't mind bezels tbh, but the years it took them to fix the panorama and other bugs in the camera software are something to be ashamed of really.
How many of their phones supported shutter speeds longer than 1 second?
And does anyone remember the shaky, alien green photos of their Xperia C which boasted their proprietary exmor? Even in broad daylight?

Probably struck with fear seeing HTC's downfall ;)
In their TV and other electronics departments, sony has provided the world with a lot of useful innovations.
But a policy where the Z line gets everything, and every other phone is neglected isn't really boast worthy.
Yes, water resistance and gps watches are cool, but anything beyond 400 ppi is an overkill unless you use VR. And their camera software is always lacking something, that one last step that Sony always refuses to take.

Besides water resistance and GPS, none of the things here are really useful. 4K, 4K HDR, face scanning, Gigabit LTE that is available in 0 countries, 4K HDR recording, Super-Gimmick-motion to show off to your friends your phone can do that but does not serve a real purpose...
Pretty sure they did other noteworthy stuff but none here is.
