This selfie is awesome even flagship can't compete. Sony already listen comsumer improve the camera algorithm and Gsmarena review prove that.

Not a surprise tho. I've owned a pair of sony phones before and played with a variety more and not a single one from the z3 to the z5 to even the newer ones impressed me with their stills. It seems sony just can't get the software processing right and last I checked with my own z3c they purposefully disabled raw image capture which might have been able to save it. I don't know if that changed now but by default sonys phones have always been below average in terms of image quality.

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018DxO Mark : Trust or Not.I trust them. They show the images they use for scoring and mark things they consider to score. The only lies they can do is to use images from other smartphones, but I don't find that to be true so far. My findings are more or less in-line with their judgement.

The same team that develops the image sensors or the smartphone team that develops the phone, where current case is the latter, where they don't seem to have enough ability to maximize the sensor capability. They have another team working on the real cameras as well, should they be invited or something? It's really confusing in a world of dependency hell.

This is the reason DxOmark chosen the XA Ultra for camera test out, it let trolls have reason on trolling.

Sony is a photocentric company, unlike Google and Apple who don't make cameras. Sony even makes compact cameras using the same tiny sensors found in smartphones.

While Sony software manage to digging the ability of snapdragon very well, you can see youtube many flagships defeat by Sony in performance reviews.

We can't expect average consumers to care about white balance, dynamic range ect on such a granular level. They want the photo to look amazing for sharing and printing purposes. So manufacturers have to make a choice.

But i doubt anyone in those countries would spend money to buy xperia. Too much competition in those countries, not only from big brands like apple samsung and huawei, but also from smaller brands like xiaomi oppo vivo etc, and dont forget about Nokia.
