Actually, people are having GPU Turbo on Mate 10 in China, the actual experience really rocks. Huawei can do that because they re-write and enhanced some of the low-level code. Since 80% of the pixels in a frame is identical to the next frame, so they also using the AI processor to recognize the frames and only render the pixels that change. That's why we see a huge performance jump here.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2018My guess, downscaling resolution.They're already doing that on many Huawei phones. It's on Battery -> Adjust Phone Resolution. They have that option under "Smart" which adjusts the screen resolution depending on the content and such.

Kirin chipsets are susceptible to heating problems when doing certain tasks. (gaming, editing, etc.)

how it's work? AFAIK on a PC or Laptop when you boosting the CPU and GPU performance you get hotter temp (otherwise you install a better cooling solution) and worse power consumption.
