Maybe, huawei boost up the GPU core by overclocking it. but this will drain the battery to much and made so much heat. lowering the resolution and "game mode" the device is much better solution but if the just do that, its not GPU Turbo hahaha

If not a joke, those figures are probably achieved by a drop in quality and/or resolution... that's the only way I know one can chop off that much with a smooth summer update, like their smart resolution thing, but for games.

i do hope this gets rolled out soon and hopefully, this is not some "fake" update that don't really boost performance in real life..

It's not just about pushing the GPU to run faster, it's about making it more efficient in how it runs things. Same as how updating your graphics card drivers can increase performance.

So why is my Huawei Mate 9 still on Android 7. 0, miui 5.0.1 and the November 2017 ... moreI think it is region specific as others have reported getting oreo Updates on that model. I also think that Hauwei will ship oreo along with this update, so look out out for it later this year.
