I see every body talking about xiaomi however, such tech. was used previously with the sharp aquos crystal! back on 2015! and they will delivery the best screen to body ratio later on.

Sound comes from the whole screen. ... moreI believe it's just an underlying piezoelectric motor, fundamentally similar to the models I mentioned, what's different is the volume its able to reach and the area of screen that resonates with the motor.

This might be better for top mounted earpiece in terms of water proofing and simpler exterior design vs. the one found in the Mi Mix 2s. Smartphones are less being used as conventional phone these days.

You touch it and can feel the oled vibration.
It cant be done with LCD.
Sharp and Xiaomi never had this.

Implementation is key. The concept isn't new but let's see what samsung's r&d and engineering departments can do about it.

It is t... moreActually LG also has this, I don't think it's anything new, a few Sharp models years back (with very thin bezels on three sides) also used this to replace the earpiece. Mi's original MIX had this as the earpiece too but the technology inherently leaked sound to the surroundings (wasn't directional enough) and in MIX2 they switched back to a regular earpiece at the cost of slightly thicker top bezels.
