Am I the only one who noticed that 4 red small grills at every angular side of the back? Seems like a quad speaker setup! They are really competing with razer here.
This vs. ZTE Iceberg????
Even if this device is beautiful, I’m afraid to buy something that may be banned or not receive any support from a banned company.
Anonymous, 18 Apr 2018One brand yep, combined? No
Combine sale account for over 1/3 of the market, Huawei not even ... moreYes, combined.
All those major players have waned immensely. If they sell a million units, that's great success to them. Check the statistics.
Samsung ~24%
Apple ~19%
Huawei ~12%
Oppo ~9%
Xiaomi ~8%
Vivo ~6%
Total ~76%... Others ~24%
Half of Others dominated by Chinese brands, the other half made up from previous major brands. So we can safely say that the COMBINED market share of the OEM companies I listed above is somewhere around 9%-15%, well within the margin to sell less units than the top three contenders (Samsung, Apple, Huawei).
*PS, this is the occurrence for now, it seems Nokia is not picking up market share in Western Markets but is making a huge dent into Indians, and some market share in China too.
AnonD-678640, 18 Apr 2018You sure bout that?Yep, living in a place where most people can't afford flagship or latest iPhone(campus live) and people here mostly own xiaomi redmi(not even the Mi series),still they play vain glory whenever they had time, sometimes while charging, and no complain whatsoever, the only complain I usually hear is lost of connection and high ping, but that's more of Carrier thing not the phone itself
And still see people play it with old sony Z2 and htc one

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2018They could also sign a deal with Huawei (if they are willing).Huawei are unwilling to sell their top-tier Kirin chips to competitors.
Although it would be good publicity for them, they simply do not care for it.
Besides, Huawei has a decent respect from the Western Markets, but in China they have a legendary reputation for basically being "The Best Phone in the World".
And I doubt Huawei has enough stock anyway, because its flagship SoC is used for their top-end/luxury device (Mate-series) and then it is recycled for its flagship device (P-series), and then it is recycled further for their Mid-range device (Honor-series). And trust me, Huawei sells a lot of phones... much more than Sony, LG, HTC, Lenovo, Motorola, Nokia, Blackberry, Asus, HP, Microsoft COMBINED.

Nzi97, 18 Apr 2018That's probably samsung thing, many people can play vain glory on xiaomi redmi, and of course ... moreYou sure bout that?
I'd figure a big issue with a "gaming" phone would be battery. Pushing your 845 as hard as it can.
You'd be permanently attached to a battery pack. So why not offer a clip on 10,000mah external battery so that you aren't bothered by USB cables.
Hmm... There doesn't seem to be a fan anywhere in the photo of the phone that I can see, unlike the one reported here:
https://www.gsmarena.com/nubia_launch_red_magic_gaming_phone_april_19-news-30575.php
Or at the very least, not a visible exhaust where a fan could be located on the phone. Either way, the design of the phone seems to be that of a legit gaming smartphone and not just a gimmick to sell a branded gaming phone.
Zero notch, awesome!

Some mobile games today especially mobile mobas needs lot of power. Cant even play VainGlory on my S7 cause it drains so fast and heats up. This gaming phones has cooler system which is great.
Curiously those called gaming phones that looks unique lack of fundamental features that flagships have, like lack good cameras with OIS, lack of IPXX rating, lack of FM radio, lack of audio jack, etc.
So at the end you are paying the same for less because is a gaming phone. Perfect marketing strategy.
you dont need a "gaming phone" to collect your farming veggie. most game requires you wait or recharge with real money. gaming phone is pointless.
