Their parent company, OPPO itself only became successful after they increased prices a bit and spent the extra money on marketing.
Basically providing good value to customers is suicide. Over charging them is the way to go if you want to stay afloat. Its sad, but that's how it is. Just ask Apple.
Only tech crazy people like us promote companies like Oneplus, Motorolla, Asus, Sony etc. The rest of the world is happy to buy overpriced stuff from Apple, Samsung and Huawei.
It should be something on lines of this "the speed you need and notch you don't" but of course learn to love the notch...

OnePlus is slowly but steadily increasing the price of their phones each year, so they're no longer the "Flagship Killer" & instead trying to become what they were supposed to be a cheap replacement to. Soon their prices will match those of Samsung/Huawei & it won't make any sense to buy their phones anymore... Just my thoughts.
