where did you find that (Snapdragon 820) is based on A57. and it is called Kryo 100.....
if im not mistaken the s6 family had exynos but on 14nm smaller than 20nm sd808/810 had both using a56 cores and the Samsung solution putted miles away against QUALCOMM. so QUALCOMM implementing 14nm was unable to reach s6 performance instead they doubled it.... for me the sd820 is a72 based and the sd835 is a73 and it may explain why there is no much difference in sigle core but a lot in multi because of the 4 additional cores it has 2 gold and 2 silver
QUALCOMM snapdragon chipset is coming in laptop also. and QUALCOMM snapdragon LTE fast modem also.
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2018Exynos single-core is 50% faster than SD845. That is crazy!!! Better not buy US variant of S9.do u know !!!!!! QUALCOMM snapdragon is developing for Samsung exynos chipset.
Anonymous, 24 Mar 2018I know that feel, mate. Currently I'm sitting with an ancient Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo which o... moreThat's not a flagship. The comment was no-one has a slow flagship these days, but that doesn't preclude slow mid range or budget devices ;)
Exynos with PowerVR rocks,
dont know why, samsungs stuck with Mali, :-(
Mali is good for Helio's
& why Helio's not compared here.
Droid, 24 Mar 2018Ho stop kidding. Benchmark depends on which os used. Even gsmarena mentioned cross-platform co... moreI would completely disagree with them on this one, if you check what they say about Apple chipset is in every review, that is the most powerful in a world, so that's mean they contradicting themselfs
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2018Exynos single-core is 50% faster than SD845. That is crazy!!! Better not buy US variant of S9.Eheh, sorry for being a bitch. You do need to know though. That Qualcomm very lightly tweaks the cores, so technically the "glorious" Kryo385 are just lightly tweaked A75.
Heck.
Kryo 100 (Snapdragon 820) is based on A57.
So just for the information (SINGLE CORE SHOWN, based on 4.2 geekbench)
Round 1:
Snapdragon 820: 1580 (Kryo 100)
Exynos 8890: 1900 (Mongoose M1)
Round 2:
Snapdragon 835: 1800
(Kryo 280, based on A72/A73, not sure which)
Exynos 8895: 2000 (Still M1, but refined)
Round 3:
Snapdragon 845: 2500 (Kryo 385G, based on A75)
Exynos 9810: 3700 (Mongoose M3, built from scratch)
In single core counterpart in the LAST 3 GENERATIONS. Exynos was always superior in the CPU part COMPARING to snapdragon. But slightly weaker on the GPU.
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2018Exynos single-core is 50% faster than SD845. That is crazy!!! Better not buy US variant of S9.I am happy with my exynos S9.

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2018I would bet if the A11 would run anything else than iOS, it would do terrible. The keyword is ... moreA platform is a platform. Mate. And you can code it to run whatever OS you want as long it matches it's architecture. Sure, the A64 (Apple's code structure)Code set is not the same as ARMv8-A (Android's) code set but it's not yin and yang either. The things that DO matter at hands is the Kernel they use. A64 relies on Darwin's kernel, while Arm on Linux. So code swapping has to match these rules of the kernels, or if possible, changing the kernel's code. (Very hard&Delicate job but possible)
So TECHNICALLY an A11 running Android Would not have the same pure preformance as an iPhone X, but it'll still be very powerful.
Same on an android. IOS will not run fluently on a Qualcomm device, but it'll still run. (Same with Exynos, Kirin, Mediatek, or any chipset vendor you can think of)
Qualcomm announces X24 (2 Gbps) and X50 (5 Gbps) modems
Yordan 14 February 2018
Qualcomm Android
Last week a report from Qualcomm stated that nearly 50 phone manufacturers and carriers are working with the San Diego towards commercializing 5G mobile devices by 2019. Today a step towards this direction was made with the unveiling of Snapdragon X24 - the first 7 nm process chipset that can support up to 2 Gbps LTE speeds.
The promised speeds are nearly twice as high as the predecessor, the Snapdragon X20, embedded into the Snapdragon 845. Qualcomm confirms that the first phones with the new modem will arrive in H1 2019.
The X24 supports “up to 7x carrier aggregation on the downlink” as well as 4X4 MIMO on up to five aggregated carriers. Upload speeds go up to Cat.20, 3x20 MHz CA and up to 256-QAM. It is built on the 7-nanometer process, which will bring even more impressive power efficiency and smaller footprint.
Qualcomm also demoed the X50 chipset, which makes even the X24 seem slow. It will offer speeds up to 5 Gbps, initially working on the 28 GHz band (mmWave) and spanning 800 MHz of bandwidth (split into eight 100 MHz links via MIMO).
Multiple phone makers already got behind 5G connectivity, but Qualcomm also sees these chipset as replacement for fiber to the home.
The chips will be demonstrated at MWC 2018 in partnership with Ericsson, Netgear, and Telstra.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is good and LTE Modem also.
Nekomimi, 24 Mar 2018So which chipset is going to last longer? I have seen a comment somewhere that saying kirin wi... moreit lasts longer than any flagships i have used in the past.
IOS is stuck in 2012 , doing more than one thing at a time would grind it to a standstill , my iPhone 6s is used as a paperweight these days,
4.89 x 6.02 x 0.57 mm is the modem size exactly from Qualcomm for A11 bionic's communication array. So which makes it second in real estate for SOC. Exynos has true raw processing power because of it's bigger real estate. But stands behind cuz Samsung has lot of backend codes and bloats n the soc itself. And not to mention it's touchwiz os which is super awe fully optimised. Apple has only one device fragment with DPI and resolution difference every year. And not to Menton their super poor and atrocity based os support for older device (battery and processor throttle suing) which makes them concentrate on optimising their newly or yet to release device. The benchmark results are just for that year. Try benchmarking the same result or at least closer result by second year. The same Apple device will be coughing blood already. Sh**. But Qualcomm standing somewhere in the middle has the best real world performance on all aspects. World class & leading processing in graphics which makes it for best gaming experience. (Apple made lower resolution display so far except I phone x for achieving better graphics results where as Qualcomm did the other way around. Android with Qualcomm had 1080p and 2k and even 4k for displays that also ran games super smooth and scored high benchmark even at that resolution closing in on a cunning and cheap cheat score achieved by Apple's SOC after all that iOS optimisation and lesser device fragmentation and lower resolution that made developers do better code for iOS in particular for the same game on different platforms.) QC modem s far beyond any one with it's x16 LTE which is gigabit 1 Gbps download and peak 155mbps upload speeds which is actually throttled down @ 600mbps and fused for I phone x to match with it's other Intel modem variant to make consumers feel justified. Too bad Apple. And sorry foolish Apple fans. Paying more for less. Qualcomm ISP is an other game altogether. I don't want to explain each and everything. Qualcomm hands down wins everything cuz it doesn't borrow or fuse anything with it's soc where as Samsung or Apple has to rely for graphics and communication array. Too much for flagship companies. Qualcomm came up with 4k, slo mo, dual sensor camera system and software and hardware isp , h265, miracast wireless display that even Intel uses, Qualcomm came up with high speed modems and all these at lower cost and higher efficiency and on a lower real estate than Exynos and A series SOC. And not to mention if Qualcomm is optimised for one particular OS and two or four devices a year other than plethora of devices and oem's and resolution factor and software skin bloat over the oem device then Apple and Samsung would be s itting bricks. Qualcomm being a sole complete package SOC maker who just uses ARM and Samsung factory for fabrication makes the best processor for soc real estate and performance. Before two years it was with itself in it's own krait architecture. It took a beating when it jumped to arm's big little architecture. But after getting back with kryo it's back again knocking out. Kirin is also a promising SOC but they too have to borrow a lot from others and they just have started they'll reach top soon. Also pinecone from xiaomi is working on something. Let's wait for the table to turn.
Some is the biggest chipset any day. I've seen it in person. QCA6174-1A this is a modem that is used in SD 820 they are similar to 845 modem size cuz modem is still at 35-40 nm fabrication. 4.89 x 6.02 x 0.57 mm is the exact dimension of modem in I phone x. That makes bionic the biggest chipset. Not only on theory but also in real world get the processor or soc real estate better the performance. (Obviously the nm of transistor printing reduces to increase efficiency but more real estate more transistors of lesser nm fabrication.) So Apple has an upheld in performance but but but only with iOS. Not with any other OS. Apple team optimised and does it only for it. Where as Qualcomm originally works without much of optimisation for Android, Linaro, and Windows too from 820. And Qualcomm has upprhand in real word performance even better than Exynos (raw processing power because of soc real estate but less efficient and bad in graphics) cuz of it's supremacy in LTE bandwidth mimo and graphics throughput for open gl and camera ISP for imaging.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2018"nobody is sitting there with a "slow" phone these days." I remember when I sat here 3 mont... moreI know that feel, mate. Currently I'm sitting with an ancient Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo which only has 1GB RAM and a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU inside an unknown chipset. This thing is very frustrating; it's so slow, can't properly multitask, and battery drains fast especially when used for internet. I think you fared better than me with M4 Aqua.
