Samsung Bixby speaker to arrive in H2 2018 Comments

ollyb1, 26 Feb 2018all these smart speakers is getting ridiculous now too many that does the same thingTrue, and the only thing they dont improve is audio quality. Digitally "enhanced", added reverb and bad 3D sound, adding bass in the area they think impress 11 year olds the most but not a single improvement to achieve accurate audio reproduction.

Great, now bixby can flop on one more platform. Samsung is the very worst on software and always been, how can they even dream of success with this?
I never forget the first time i installed samsung software on a galaxy note series, it became the last time. The software in question hanged after using it a few seconds, and how did i learn of it hanging? It smelled burned plastic, thats how, had to rip the battery and let it cool, miraculously it still worked but that was solely due to luck and fast reaction on my part and no credit to samsung. Samsungs list of features/software that dont work right is now longer than the casualty list of WW2.

If they design the hardware to look something like the speaker image shown, I think they might have some success.
All other companies have produced monolithic speakers that are minimal & blend in to their surroundings.
If they go for a hardware design statement that's a bit retro microphone as shown - it might work.
