For Xiaomi, that's what's important for a company which takes extremely thin profit margin and is striving to get its most shipping crown back (which they made as well). They won't be able to do so by investing in something with unclear short term result, both in time and quality.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2018True. But they record 4k and RM5 pro doesn't. Your point?no 4k?... i am confused because Qualcomm specs show Up to 4K Ultra HD video capture @ 30FPS & Up to 1080p video capture @120 FPS for sd 636...but xiaomi is not providing 4k ...i wonder why?

Xiaomi teaches us on ... moreLot of comments like these are mentioning that type-c is left out because of price. But replacing micro-usb with type-c doesn't affect the cost of phone. Both are usb specifications and manufacturer can opt for either without affecting the cost of device. We already have devices with type-c in this price segment Le 1s, Le 2, Mi A1, Mi Max 2 and also others which don't retail in my region.
IP68, Gorilla Glass 4/5, QSD 660 etc, would have increased the price of the device but changing the port design doesn't.

Budget phones should be know for it's reliability & performance.. Install single camera with Good low light performance which will reduce the cost of the device and other design factor issues as well.
Instead of that secondary camera, Xiaomi should have gone for USB-C and Quick charge 3.
After all, customers should understand the fact dual camera doesn't help in improving the quality.. so that OEMs will design their device accordingly...
