I think it is time to make new laws to prevent such a consumerism and waste of materials. Devices should be taxed on the basis of how easily repairable they are and how long is free warranty is. Effectively all the manufacturers would need to-up their game or face the tax, which would be passed onto consumers effectively, either making their pricing uncompetitive or cutting into their profit margins. Each layer of glue can be replaced by rubber grommet, the water ingress can be controlled by coating the internal components etc. Glue is just lazy, low tech way to throw a product on the market without having any responsibility what will happen to it few months down the line. And here I am not talking from apple hater or fan side - we as consumers need to understand it does not benefit anyone, but greedy manufacturers - it increases unnecessary waste, reduces product life. It is effectively one of many shades of planned obsolescence.
Not mono but you'll definitely want to make it a pair or more so you can set channels apart. The feature is currently not available but apple is working on it.
The point is: it's restricted to AirPlay. And many other manufacturers already have mature products. Not only Sonos, but also B&W, B&O, JBL, Bluesound, Denon, Naim, MartinLogan, Definitive Technology, and the list goes on...
Speaking for myself, I'm about to buy either the B&O A6 or the Naim qb, or perhaps a pair of Definitive W7.

Manchito, 13 Feb 2018Only 1 speaker? That means mono sound! Urgh! No, Thanks!99.9% of blutooth speakers are mono...
Harman Kardon and JBL offer option to use two blutooth speakers in stereo mode! They are actually good!
"the 3d mesh is really interesting.."
yep, interesting, the same material has been used as motorcycle seat cover in my country for years.

Probably fastest way is to crush it into pieces, then built it anew in 3D printer, best apple 3D printer. Talk about being ecologic and economic. ''Poor'' users got to pay :)
wouldn't be surprised if even apple can't open it without breaking it and just replace the casing if they bother fixing them at all
Well.......at least there's warranty.
